- Emirates is one of the world's safest and most luxurious airlines. It's first-class product conistantly goes viral for just how exclusive it is!
On July 23, 2018, I flew on Emirates First Class from Milan, Italy to New York, USA on an A380. Emirates' first class is one the most sought-after inflight experiences out there, and it certainly tops most travelers’ bucket lists. The gold-studded suite with closing doors, electronic minibars, and an onboard shower are absolutely amazing! The onboard experience also includes pajamas, a tote bag full of amenities, caviar and steak, and Arabic coffee. The only downside about this flight was the way the crew treated me... it's unacceptable to constantly berate me about filming when you let Sam Chui and Casey Neistat run around your aircraft like a kid in a candy store.

The amount of times you were told to stop filming. Im very disappointed with Emirates. If Sam Chui was filming they would be smiling and posing.

Excellent trip report. But shame on the crew and lounge staff for how they treated a first class pax. Why no lounge? Because of alcohol? It was freely available in the onboard first class bar anyway. And no filming on board??? How ridiculous!! I made myself half a dozen vids on board and youtube is full of EK videos. This attitude would somehow have spolit my experence.

I'm still not understanding why you were denied lounge access...because you're a minor...WTF! Why would they be concerned about alcohol consumption...in every EK lounge I've used (BKK, HKG, FRA, DXB, SFO) there have always been multiple attendants present who could easily prevent a minor from drinking alcohol. Something is not right here.
Jonnie Bangkok italians airports are just not very friendly in general. Italians are hot headed and if they dont want to do something, they wont. Like allowing a freakin first class passenger that paid half of their yearly salary in one ticket into a lounge which his ticket got him access to. Despicable.

this Q re-view was made possible in spite of age discrimination, destroyed ego, no filming, no filming, an inadequate boarding process, no filming, and gross coffee. Yet Qman creates probably his most watched video and definitely one of his best.I thoroughly enjoyed it from beginning to end and I recommend everyone watch it as well. There are obviously lot of youngsters, or stupid adults, out here asking these straight forward and sorta rude questions.
Just fyi there are damn many avgeeks who are very young (around 18) yet flying so much. You can manage studying and flying in and out of the country easily, it’s just depending on your personal life situation. This young Mr. ain’t posting vids every single day so it’s obvious he has a life doing something else too.
What comes to the financials behind these videos, just give me a break? Let it be. Ikr you all want the same kind of future at some point and believe me you will have it while working and playing with miles etc. but meanwhile just let someone enjoy what they have (with their family), okay?
Just came a cross with your channel and will be around for some updates. Next time check your facts straight (as mentioned it’s the old F product) as it makes the whole video much more enjoyable to watch. I’m still shocked about the treatment you received - crew of Emirates should probably have more clear guidelines how to deal with underaged travelling solo - no matter what class you’re travelling in. Travelling underaged is much, much more common these days anyways.
And for that one person commenting about his clothing and the treatment he received - just freakin’ grow up. Airlines can require specific clothing only from family members of the crew who may be jumping onboard last minute etc. and therefore they’re representing the airline but other than that no clothing choice should lead to any kind of treatment. If I want to travel in any class wearing football shirt, I will certainly do it. Since when did airlines became next Vogue defining the fashion and what’s appropriate to wear anyways?

Young Man thank you for posting your great video here on RUclips, Congratulations to you for having this successful journey. In LIFE it is all about Customer Service, I was a bit bothered by the aggressiveness of the airline staff and how they were approaching you about filming. They did not look at you as a long term customer of theirs only judging you by your looks like a youth. As a result of this, you could keep them out of your future travel plans for the next 50 plus years, they have no idea of who or what you might become in the future, furthermore it has tarnished my opinion of them as the premier airline in the Middle East. I understand if some of them personally did not want to appear in your video but to be aggressive with you in this regard was unacceptable, furthermore not being allowed inside of the lounge and the mishandling of the boarding procedures was not handled properly either. If you were with your parents or some other adults this would have been an issue that would have been addressed with them, but as a young diplomat with class, as you are, you graciously accepted their shortcomings and just let the video speak for itself. Great Job, it spoke loudly to me, you should have been treated just like any other passenger on the plane, I always see videos of flights from others here on RUclips. DONT EVER LET ADULTS LOOK THROUGH YOU, THE WORLD IS YOURS KEEP MOVING FORWARD AND ENJOY LIFE.

Exactly my thoughts too. If I had sent my Son and paid 10K for the ticket I would have been furious by the actions of some cabin staff. If you watched this video you would have watched many where filming was never a problem. This has certainly altered my opinion of Emirates and influenced future travel choices. Shame of Emirates.

Maybe next time can can try contacting the social media team/public relations department of the airline you will be flying so that they know to expect that you will be filming.
Remember Sam Chui is an adult and he once stated in one of his videos that he does ask for permission before filming .

When I flew on Lufthansa first class from Jfk to Frankfurt they didn't let me into the lounge as well so I complained with Lufthansa and got fully reimbursed for the flight

I agree with you on the staff friendliness and the boarding efficiency ratings. I'm so glad I came across this as I was about to book a round trip Emirates flight for around $27,744 but after seeing this? No! Don't think so! I simply can't believe how first class boarding was handle and how rude the crew seem to be as I've been an many flights were I see passengers recording their experiences without the crew saying anything about it.Thank you! You did a great job! This was going to be my first Emirates "experience" but not anymore!

Always wanted to go back and watch Quintin`s most-viewed video, and finally made the time to do so. This is an experience everyone should have at least once in their life! I too have found the crew on occasion to be the weak link in the Emirates experience. Robotic is a word that comes to mind. Love the term "puke bag!" Great work Quintin!

Really amazing work, you covered eveything from the seat cushion to the storage space to the boarding experience. Really amazig amount of effort and detail! Also youre too polite, with a F class ticket Id have made a ruckus at the lounge & at the FA who said no video. I sincerely hope you write a complaint for their shoddy boarding and lounge experience.
Hey, I have just discovered your channel and I must say it looks great and has really nice content. I am 14 right now and I never got to fly in Emirates Airlines’ First Class - since I always go on short-hauls I always go in Economy - but I think that the treatment you received was absolutely outrageous and disrespectful for a first class guest, that’s simply not the way they should treat a paying passenger, regardless of the class he/she flies in. Apart from that, the other FAs were fantastic and provided an excellent service as I see from the video. I am also an aviation enthusiast - I don’t make tripreports though - and I’ve always filmed with a phone or stabiliser - I suggest you to film with your phone with it, quality is great - and no one told me anything, or they were happy I was filming. Anyway, keep up the good work :) Cheers and all the best from Italy 🇮🇹
I got my FA license a few days ago and it outrages me how some of the FAs and ground staff treated you, wether you were travelling in economy, business or first class, that's not a way to treat a paying customer, it really disappoints me, Emirates is my dream job and I can guarantee you I WOULD NEVER treat a customer the way they did.
Excellent video - somewhat jealous! - I agree with other people's comments regarding the service (lack of) provided at the airport and on the flight. You were a first class passenger, and regardless of your age you should be treated in the same manner as any other first class passenger. This report has made me consider taking my family on any Emirates flights.
I noticed at 8.19 you were not exactly greeted like a first class passenger. Being denied at the lounge to enter as a first class passenger is appauling. Keep up the great videos!

A recommendation for a future video, try air canada domestic business class or international premium economy. The seats aren’t impressive but the food and service is great.

1. Wow that is very disorganized people in First class pays for all the necessities of the flight including boarding first. Even if first class is supposed to board first from the lounge, you being underage does / should not disclude you from that.

Welcome to Milan! I fly into that airport every year to see family. It is very disorganized. The gate agents didn't know when to board the flight one time I was there and then a couldn't find out how to use a boarding scanner. I mean really??!!

Kim Jong Un How old are you FFS. That'd be paid not "payed' and of course he can't enter a bar providing free unlimited alcohol unsupervised regardless of his status as a first class passenger. Whoever paid for his ticket should have known if he was under 18 he would have a problem. I don't believe he was so stupid he didn't think to check before rocking up given that he would know alcohol is freely available in these lounges if he is any sort of av. geek.

In regards to be terrible boarding experience in Milan, this was because you were boarding with economy class passengers. They didn't expect first class passengers to bard at the regular gate by from inside the Emirates lounge. Although you were not allowed inside the Emirates Lounge due to age, you could have at least tried to enter the lounge again and boarded through there once boarding has commenced.
Looks like the MXP airport is a little bit small for Airbus A380,the departure process was nearly overshoot the runway.

The lounge issue is very unfortunate, as you’re technically a ‘minor’ in some countries there is a legal issue with this, however I think Emirates should address this and find a way to accommodate First/Business class young solo travellers as the Emirates unaccompanied minors service only goes up to 15 years of age. One workaround is (before entering) wait outside and approach someone else entering the lounge to "guest" you in. Be tactful about it and explain you have the correct ticket, a solo traveller, but because of your age you need be with an adult on entering the lounge and you don't expect them to look after / watch over you etc once you’ve got past the reception desk.
Without a doubt Emirates is the best airlines I have flown so far. I intend to fly only with this airlines only in future also as the cabin crew make you feel like home and the food is great with lots of variety to choose from the menus they provide. Be on the top Emirates always.

I think It is safe to say all of the bad parts of the pre-depature happened because of the Milan staff/airport. most of these would had not happen if he were to be going from DXB to JFK. Anyways, Emirates still need to step up their customer service outside Dubai. Still a shocker they didn't allow you into the lounge. if I were me I'd be really pissed. Nice Effort by the way. Good job.
i blame the Italians why stop a young man from entering a lounge when he has the ticket to let him in ,all they should of done was warn him no alcohol ,and for someone to maybe serve him and keep a eye on him instead he had to buy food ?typical Italians
