Well, she asks quite frequently for feedback and comments. She is open to ideas and new product suggestions. Thats a sign of a secure, and open minded person. Also, the more comments she gets on her RUclips videos is better for her engagement and algorithm. So she wins either way. She is obviously not offended, why are you? 😂

I agree that it’s her house, and her choice. However, since she opts to put her decor on video, then she’s open to, and often asks for, feedback. As a subscriber of hers, I’m allowed opinions regarding her decor. And, again, I do not like knotted or puddled curtains for the reasons I mention in my first text. Never inferred that she should change anything that she does because of anyone’s opinion! I love 99% of what she does and will continue to be a fan.

I love Carmel! We go to the pebble beach car show, auctions and quail every Aug. Such a magical place and yes, we are all in harms way with fires in CA, I though Malibu being close to water might have been a resource to prevent such tragedy but it goes to show that none of us are really safe unless we create the preventive measures to protect our own homes. Stay safe and hope to see you next time we are in Carmel! (also, my husband was born there!)

I very much enjoy your videos and it took me away for a while from watching about the devastation of it on YT. I’m in Northwestern New Jersey and we had fires flare up around my area in the last few weeks and also this past Spring. Thankfully they did not take hold.

since you are going to be doing a lot of freezing have you considered getting a vacuum sealer - I have found that it extends the time that you can keep things in the freezer and it maintains the quality of the food

Lauren, I enjoy your channel. You mentioned you have an instapot. One suggestion that I do is save all my onion skins, garlic skins, carrots skins and ends, celery, many vegetables and place them in a freezer bag and add to it. Then I add it to my instapot with water and herb and within in 15 minutes you have fresh vegetable broth. I also use mason jars and place them in the refrigerator. I haven’t bought broth in a while. It is simple and delicious.
I save mine for making chicken stock, but I have never thought of making vegetable stock. This is brilliant! ❤
Wow! I loved the video this afternoon. Another new program to develop. I really do appreciate your energy and drive, I am 77 years old and can handle new experiences. I just want a nap. Your pantry was very cool. I love that you are so willing to listen to a bunch of strangers sharing their thoughts on your home. You have great taste and should trust yourself.

Congratulations on the new job! I’ve learned never say never! You are such a great multi task person and having a helpful partner sure is a blessing! We still have our trees and lights up, all of the Santa and merry Christmas wishes are down but because we live in snow covered Indiana the trees and lights are just a magical addiction to our current outdoor landscape. I have the 8 foot Costco olive tree and LOVE it! It looks so realistic 🫒 hope you have a great week!

Congratulations on the new job! How exciting! I also do a lot of freezer prep meals or just cook ahead on Sunday. My daughter plays competitive softball and we get really busy starting the end of January and food prep is my literal life line.

Loving your content Lauren. Prayers for all of those living through the fires in California. I was able to raise my children prior to all screens, including cell phones, and I feel so privileged to have been able to raise my children in that environment. Congratulations on your new work opportunity. It's snowing here, and we will continue to get snow through March. Loved seeing your garden beds and I am very much into gardening and so anxious to get started on my garden 2025!! The hydrangea's are gorgeous!! I will be doing more bulk food prep when I get another freezer/fridg, but currently my favorite items to cook in bulk is soups, stews and casseroles. You can make casseroles ahead of time, without cooking them and then pull them out when you are ready and then cook them. I just freeze mine in glass casserole dishes.

When you mentioned your son having heard the business conversation, it reminded me of things my adult kids would talk about when they get together. The things that seem to have stuck the most with them are the times they observed us "adulting." They learned so much by being there and observing us handle life, including resilience. Parents need to remember that. Thankfully without realizing that at the time, we did ok because we have happy, successful adult children. By the way, that in turn has created a happy sunset time for my husband and myself in our own lives.
This warms my heart. I remember being under my mom's desk coloring in her office when I was a little girl (she was a single mom) and listening to her work. It was my favorite. I also loved playing with her contracts that she would throw away and pretend I was a realtor.

It's cold here in Pinehurst, N.C. We were supposed to get snow, but only had rain & sleet. We appreciate your hard work & meal planning for us. My husband and I made chili today. It will cook overnight and we'll eat it tomorrow night!😋

Congrats on the new job! I know you will do absolutely amazing at it. I use a mason jar sealer for a lot of my products - they are about $20-$30 on amazon and are amazing. With the air out of the jars - food last so much longer for you…just a suggestion. Praying for California- here in. The mid west we received 1/2” ice topped then with 12” of snow. I wish there was a way to get all that moisture to CA to help fight those horrible fires.

Love this type of video! It is sooo cold and snowy here in WV…I super miss the sunny ca weather …im from so cal and now weve been snowed in for a week :( for freezer meals, I like to just double whatever cassseroles im making for the week and pop one in the fridge, one in the freezer…I also prep my salads and stuff for lunches since I work from home and have a thirty minute lunch so i dont waste time making it lol

We buy meat in bulk and prep it out for meals and then we have found that we like a fresher veggie so we buy those in non bulk. However, I do prep mirepoix in large batches and lay them flat to freeze. Makes life so much easier! Good luck girly ❤

Acre Homestead has chickens, a huge garden and organic/natural/ homemade is very important to her. She pre-makes her meals. She’s amazing and knows so much! And I think she’s like 12. Kidding, she’s just so young and so amazing! 🤣💗

I have a basket that they are supposed to put their stuff in but they often times are so excited to be home they just throw them wherever. We will keep working on it!

Freeze casseroles in the inexpensive aluminum pans from the grocery store. Then your glass casserole dishes aren't all in the freezer when you need them for something else. To bake, I just pop the frozen casserole out of the aluminum pan like a giant ice cube and put it in a glass casserole dish to bake. Casseroles seem to bake better if I thaw them overnight in the fridge first. In the glass, of course!

I think I would stick to a neutral color like tan or oatmeal.. probably the tan since your walls are white. It would add a little color difference from the walls but not get you stuck into one color for all seasons.

I have only used mine for ribs, because after I made them my instant pot smelled like ribs. I have since learned that folks use instant pot bags to cook in but I am just not into it. I only make ribs with it lol

One piece of equipment you must want to invest in would be Baggy Rack Holders to keep your Ziploc bags propped up and open while you're filling them. Lauren you are so calming to me. So enjoy your videos! My little Fannie looks very much like Pepe and acts just like him! 😍

Hi Lauren, have you checked out the olive oil and avocado oil at Costco? It's the best!!!
At one time, UC Davis did a study on olive oils. Shocking that so many, even name brands, had been doctored with all sorts of cheaper oils and weren't even pure olive oil. Coscto's Kirkland brand olive oil was one of the few that was PURE olive oil! That was several years ago. Hoping nothing has changed.
