Is it just me or is that guy a complete boss at parachuting lol? Damn. Must be so much technique to do what he did at the end.
What he did at the end is known as Canopy Piloting or "swooping" and is not something you'd learn as a military jumper, so he's got lots (a hell of a lot) of civilian jumping in his spare time. Not saying he isn't a great military jumper too.

Saw this live on TV and to this day its one of the most insane things I've seen.

This was the first episode that I ever saw of Top Geer. It totally blew me away. Especially when the Stig went into a dive with the parachute opened (7:22 mark). That was one of the coolest things I have ever seen. And that Raptor is a beautiful Beast!!

Unhandled Exception Wichita they’re 90% the same cars. The only cars we don’t have are the Citroens and the Alfas, and some of the Peugots.
You’d like UK Top Gear much more. It’s like this, but funnier, and they did all these ideas first. Top Gear came up with the “car VS skydiver” years before US Flop Gear stole the idea.

I’ve always been a ford boy ever since Jurassic park. I knew I had to have the raptor. Then I saw this video back in 2011. I knew I was going to buy one. I graduated college, saved all my money, and bought a 2014 in cash two years ago. I still love driving it.
Chevy fans are upset that non of their vehicles can compete with a raptor. Newsflash. The 2018 raptor is faster and better at off-roading. R.I.P. Chevy

This was a really good race. I can see the improvements in editing and sound tracks from previous videos. And I did not know you could spiral around with a parachute. Pretty cool.

So how did he lock the diff if he's not in low gear and going 80 mph +?
you dont need to, the diff stays locked. and as long as you're in 2h you're good. I have a raptor
the diff doesn't stay locked but it doesn't matter about speed as long as you are not in 4L
This advertise is a fake , it's not that I hate raptores because I own one , but I am a skydiver and I know that it takes me maximum 2 minutes of free falling to reach 2000 feet from 25k ... not 5 minutes :)

Okay look at the video tanner says he is going up against a "HALO Jumper" they surpass the altitude that you do when your skydiving my friend.

Wow! Not usually a fan of Top Gear USA but this was amazing!
This was awesome and really entertaining to watch. I love that truck.
the sad thing is how staged this was.. If the skydiver actually went head down he could easily break 300mph (terminal velocity is based on surface area, its not "120mph" as claimed) and he could have spiraled for the finish line from the moment he'd opened his canopy... but of course its TV so they have to make it look like it was close (which the skydiver did an excellent job of by timing his turn so that he finished just ahead of the truck) but it was never really a contest at all.

You can't fall faster then 120mph, it's impossible with air resistance. You can however go up to speed of 225mph going forward not down.

+lubricatedjellybeans The current world record speed skydive is 346mph (from standard skydiving altitude) Felix Baumgartner's jump from space went over 730mph (ofc he didn't have much atmosphere for most of the dive)
you can absolutely fall faster than 120mph, an average head down skydive is around 180mph, 120mph is an average speed falling belly to earth (increases surface area with the same weight=lower speed) Get off youtube and go repeat junior high school physics.

Tanner Foust is, among many things in racing, a European Rallycross Champion along with being a professional race driver and stuntman. I'd say on OFF-ROAD courses he probably has more experience than the Stig.

YA only.. better, faster, longer.. oh and better... Hammond is better than Tanner as a presenter but this race was far better.

That was some good off-road power sliding. Also enjoyed the parachutist getting crazy at the end to create speed with his chute open!

No matter whats the content of the video, as long as its Top Gear USA everybody just keeps disliking it and complains about how much better the UK edition is. Come on people, at least give them a chance and watch it unbiased. This really wasnt a bad video.

Tanner Foust... What a hell of a guy. I don't think there is anyone else who could thrash a raptor as hard as he was doing. He may of lost, but damn that driving was boss.
