I don’t think in her heart of hearts that Lori truly wanted Carl to die. She was in a very stressful situation regarding the surgery in general, let alone the apocalypse setting. I don’t fault her for having a mental break or having those thoughts, and feeling safe enough to voice them with her husband. We also have to remember that the surgery would have been VERY painful without the medicine. She changed her mind after hearing other view points and that’s all anyone can be asked to do. It can’t be easy having the fate of a loved one in your hands when you know they are suffering and may continue to suffer afterwards. Anyway, round of applause for Hershel and his family! All MVPs! Dale is definitely too much. He’s always got something to say. Sometimes it’s good, sometimes it’s very naggy… It’s so cool to see how Daryl differs from Merl. He is ALWAYS down to help, even if he has something snarky to say to go along with it
I love Daryl in this episode Trying so hard to look unbothered telling Andrea about his time in the woods as a kid and you can tell he’s low key getting more worried as time goes on.
Definitely shoutout to Chandler Riggs (Carl) for his acting. That scene with him in the bed and when he started having the seizure felt so real that’s hard to do for child actors. Nah what Shane did to Otis was horrible, Otis went out there to help save a child and he ends up getting turned on and left to get eaten.
Wow so proud of you and your fight back from that toxic relationship. I too left a 12 yr abusive relationship and also was drawn to carol at the time for that reason. Love her strength

I love how Shane represents that do bad to achieve good mentality It’s a really good representation of certain choices would seem super crazy to us in everyday life or wouldn’t even cross our minds but in the Zombie Apocalypse it’s crazy the choices some might make to stay alive or even for the greater good Not saying I agree with his decision but looking at the bigger picture I get it Where I don’t agree is that one would have to make a distinction of one persons life being more valuable than another’s and that that’s just an insane thing to think about.
I think the main thing new people don’t realize when starting TWD is how brutal the show actually is Compared to other Zombie movies and other series it’s so unique and has so much more depth to it.

I've always related to Carol, because my mom was abused by my dad. They had four kids, and I was the first, so my dad beat me a lot, because he'd tried to tell people I wasn't his kid, but I ended up with features that ere his and not my moms, so he eventually had to marry her. Then he took it out on me. Most people don't notice when Carol implies that her husband was on the way to sexually abusing their daughter, which is why she had such a good time with that pickaxe to this head. His death was the best thing that happened to her, but it's followed by the worse thing that could happen to her: the loss of her daughter. Because of this, I relate to both Carol and Daryl; the Carol connection is obvious. Daryl was in a similar situation, where his father was an abusive a-hole, and his mother was a victim. So he went along with his older brother, didn't question much, until the brother was removed from his life. Now we're seeing the person Daryl is, beyond the influence of his horrible family, and he is, deep down, a good man, but had been raised by some really horrible people.
The girl hitting on glenn baby daddy #1 is pretty awesome I love her in this show. Shes also going to be in a later season of supernatural, wont spoil any of it just cant wait to see if you recognize her when you eventually get to her.

I think most people would agree that they can see where lori was coming from with not wanting carl to live a life of pain and suffering, i also just couldn't believe she said it. Also, I think all your opinions on characters so far are appropriate for where you are in the series because obviously most people's opinions of characters in the comments are after watching multiple seasons I mean the show is 11 seasons so you are definitely gonna have some differing opinions about characters in the beginning then seasons from now. I did not like Shane's choice, either. But what I don't understand is why Shane didn't shoot Otis in the head... He let them tear him limb from limb and eat him alive.
it's called live bait, nice and fresh and squirming. I really liked Otis and was gutted to lose him like that. If Shane had shot Otis outright it might not have worked as intended.
@@AndresElRey My thought was that he needed otis to be a big distraction if he was shot in the head he wouldn't have screamed and drawn as much walkers, shooting him in the leg allowed more walkers to come directly to him because to allow shane to get away.
What Shane did in this episode is like child's play compared to what happens in later seasons. This show is meant to show you who the "real" monsters are in a zombie apocalypse. Strap in, you are in for a wild ride! Also, I assure you, you will begin to love Carol and also Maggie. Give it some time.
Could they have both gotten away? Possibly, could they have both been killed if they tried? Possibly. Decisions are never easy in an apocalypse, feel bad for otis he never got to see if carl was killed because of him or if he would survive. Lori is so aggravating all the time to me 😂
I completely understand Lori's viewpoint. Think of it: life in the current day America is very hard for some people, and we have - supposedly - all of the safety nets in place. Once those things break down, what is there?

I feel like people were 50/50 on Loris's opinion. I've seen people understand where Lori comes from and they talk about the pros and cons of Carl staying alive, while some others just get mad and yell at her for being a terrible mother. Im gonna LOVE the reactions to future episodes if that’s how you react to their convo about praying. Shane fanatics love to say that since they both couldn’t run and the walkers were gaining Shane was justified, but that’s kinda bs. One positive was he tried to sacrifice himself first and Otis wouldn’t do it, but that didn’t mean he had to sacrifice someone to save Carl. It’s technically an-dr-ee-a, but if you wanna call her the little mermaid or put a fun spin on it that’s fine too. Nah youre right. T-dog is lacking atm but he steps up later (like in season 3 later). Same with Carol, you’ll just kind of feel for her up until Season 3. According to the timeline (filled with spoilers so I don’t recommend looking for it) the group lost Sophia on October 29th and its now October 30th. Cherokee Rose all takes place on October 31st, Chupacabra on November 1st, and secrets on November 2nd. After that one-day spreads throughout multiple episodes. No lit this is the season of everyone just being mildly irritated and rude to one another and you’ll be frustrated with everyone by the end. These videos are giving me life rn but it’s kinda affecting my daily activities???? I find I can’t say anything normally anymore. Like I’ll be preheating the oven for dinner and instead of saying “ok the oven’s on” I’ll go “right so the oven is ovening”. Keep up the great vids, can’t wait to see more new nicknames in the next one. Jurassic Park has me pissin every time😂

I kinda sided with Shane up to the point he sacrificed Otis, I didn't always agree with his actions but I could see why. I always asked myself is how will Shane cope with it, he was a cop, Ricks partner (In work) before all this he was probably a mostly decent man. What does that do to someones mind. I think the writing in this series was very good, the characters feel real, they would all annoy me at points, just like the people I know irl. Look at you being all for Lori :)... no criticism, your comments are fair and reasonable, I just couldn't make my mind up with her. Poor Carol, losing Sophia like that, so cruel. 👍Thanks for the upload, wasn't expecting another one this week but I'm not complaining.

I'd have shot Otis too, Shane loves Carl like his own. It was either they all die or 2 survive. Would you not shoot the person who shot some one you loved in a life or death situation? Like you said " As long as I'm breathing my kid is breathing' No he's not His bio dad, he's not Rick. But he might as well be.

@@AndresElRey I think the reason he didn't shoot him in the head is he didn't think the walkers would go for him if he was dead. They go after the living not the dead. I don't see it as brutal murder either. Otis wouldn't have died if he hadn't been careless when shooting the deer. He should have been careful. He likely didn't look to see if people were around because of the world they live in. PLus shane offered to sacrifice himself first. Shane tried to be noble. At the point they were at the choice was Otis, Shane AND Carl die, the walkers would have caught up and killed them, OR kill the guy who shot Carl and put them there in the first place and 2 people live. Shooting him in the leg and using him as bait was the only option at that point. It also don't think it's murder, there's no such thing as murder in an Apocalypse, only survival. Shane did what he thought was needed to ensure Carl lived. He was willing to die for Carl. Shane is my second favourite character in the entire series though. The only thing I disagreed on him on was assaulting Lori. (Even though she's my number 2 most hated character on TV)

I'd have shot Otis too, Shane loves Carl like his own. It was either they all die or 2 survive. Would you not shoot the person who shot some one you loved in a life or death situation? Like you said " As long as I'm breathing my kid is breathing' No he's not His bio dad, he's not Rick. But he might as well be.
Someone else stated why didn't he just shoot him in the head...not be eaten alive and than someone commented "live bait" idk yall I appreciate everyone's opinion and I know what I said about keeping my kid alive but brutal murder.......ooooooh there must be another way
@@AndresElRey I think the reason he didn't shoot him in the head is he didn't think the walkers would go for him if he was dead. They go after the living not the dead. I don't see it as brutal murder either. Otis wouldn't have died if he hadn't been careless when shooting the deer. He should have been careful. He likely didn't look to see if people were around because of the world they live in. PLus shane offered to sacrifice himself first. Shane tried to be noble. At the point they were at the choice was Otis, Shane AND Carl die, the walkers would have caught up and killed them, OR kill the guy who shot Carl and put them there in the first place and 2 people live. Shooting him in the leg and using him as bait was the only option at that point. It also don't think it's murder, there's no such thing as murder in an Apocalypse, only survival. Shane did what he thought was needed to ensure Carl lived. He was willing to die for Carl. Shane is my second favourite character in the entire series though. The only thing I disagreed on him on was assaulting Lori. (Even though she's my number 2 most hated character on TV)
