- Tiger Woods received the Presidential Medal of Freedom from U.S. President Donald Trump in a ceremony at The White House on May 6.
Woods is the second-most winningest golfer, both in major championships and PGA Tour wins, including capturing the 2019 Masters title.

People think entertainers shouldn't get these types of medals, but it's important that they do. They're powerful influencers and can inspire and be powerful role models. A lot of entertainers don't seem interested in anything but themselves. I think that by knowing that if they do selfless acts and use their fame to help others, that it will make them want to be less selfish and definitely take this country in a positive direction. Awards and trophies are great, but this medal is for those that go above and beyond all that.
