@@ultimate.funkypunky Dude, I literally make music for a living., I know the people I work for. They are literally already asking me to fix their AI songs for them.
I even transcribed over 1000 songs by ear.
AI music is not like AI art, once they fix sound artifacts, we are done.
I literally have been studying music for the last 11 years. Music is about patterns and repetition.

@@IvoryShard I don't know if you are trying to pick a bone with me but... you got to stop being paranoid, if you've been doing this for a living for 11 years then CONGRATS! achieving economical independence by doing what you love is very hard by today standards. absolutely nothing is gonna replace you and anyone with a single braincell knows that. go tell that customer off and don't succumb to silly AI covers from RUclips that are made for pure entertainment. I've been producing and transcribing for 7 years and as much as I agree that AI art is way simpler than AI music, it's just not gonna happen, AI is always noticeable, aaaalways, so chill!

I'll admit they sound nice, but both AI-generated don't carry the same sort of emotions as the originals. The originals are beautiful in their solemnity, meanwhile the AI-generated songs sound a bit more light-hearted. Especially the second one, it downright sounds happy. The only times they seem to fit are when they are repeating parts of the original songs! AI might be good at generating things that sound plausible, but AI's inability to comprehend the meaning behind things means that it is inevitable for AI-generated creations to often miss the mark.

I think it all depends on how said AI was trained. If I had to guess, this one was probably trained on more high intensity music. It really seems to hate the breakdowns most of all, for some reason it feels like it needs to place one somewhere else. I think you can easily quantify the emotion of a song, but i don't think that the AI is trained like that. I think an AI trained on more similar works may do a much better job of capturing mood, but that's just a guess.

@@hhhhhhhhh69420 You're not wrong. If the AI were trained specifically on similar works, then it would produce a much better result. Still though, even if it consistently used chords and melodies appropriate for the emotional theme, I believe it would still struggle to produce a cohesive piece that conveys a consistent feeling. AI does its best when producing output that is essentially an average of all of its training data, an average that often does not actually match any of that input - frequently causing an uncanny sensation.
