The foundation of the entire Biblical narrative can be found in the five covenants that have been made between God and humanity. They represent the sacred and binding promises of God, and they are often called the ‘backbone’ of the Bible. Each covenant builds upon another, forming a complete redemptive storyline. God preserved the world through Noah, initiated redemption through Abraham, established the nation of Israel through Moses, promised an eternal shepherd-king through David, and then fulfilled all His covenants through Jesus. Covenants are essentially promises that have been given to us so that God can enter into a personal relationship with us, and as we will discover in this sermon series, God has always kept His promises.
