This song being sung by Marina in this way makes it sound so sad. :( Whereas the original does not have any emotion in it whatsoever, its just upbeat and made to be "popular"... but I like this version far more, it's actually kind of heartbreaking to imagine someone who cannot love, or thinks they cannot.

I actually believe that this version of Starstruck is better than Katy Perry's version. I also believe that Katy Perry would've been immensely proud of Marina for covering her song, making it her own and also pulling it off. There are plenty of songs out there. Some of them are just as good as the original versions, some of them aren't as good as the original and some of them are better than the original versions. This is one of those songs that's actually better than the original version, it's absolutely fantastic!
I love the original as well as this. But i think it would be better if she kept some of the energy of the original, but also add this "marina feel" to it. Kind of like homewrecker. Just my opinion though. I still love this!
People who comment saying the original is better have NO TASTE in music they don't care about the lyrics just the beat anything slow enough to hear what the singer is saying they don't like it really annoys me music is not JUST for dancing!
