One of those songs that would hit the floor and remind you why you were up at 6:00 in the morning on a Sunday, sweating like a pig, legs almost feeling like rubber, yet there was no way in hell you were leaving that dance floor.
With all the shite music being produced today, folks shouting bad vibes down microphones, often making dangerous statements, a complete lack of any sort of tonality or understanding of the basics. Just because: gangster, drill, gangs hardman etc, This track is a blessing. Dance. Just dance. A better way to live. A thing of beauty.
When I bought my Zeitgeist triple pack album back in 97, this is one of the tracks from said triple album. It is a sublime triple pack. This tune is something special. Along with Freefalls "Shrug" (Top three track of mine), Sunday Clubs "Etanas Flight and Unbound by Freelance Icebreakers, it makes for the best vinyl investment of mine...ever! I went to watch Sasha in July 98 for my Birthday, in Newquay. He played this. I mix 2 copies of this on the breakdown, 2nd copy 2 beats late.NICE
I first heard this on a mix tape in the summer of '98. I must have played this track at least 200 times in my life, probably more. Unfortunately, I never had the opportunity to dance to this at a rave. But one day I will, and when I do, I will dance my ass fucking off. To the non-beat of course. ;-)
I heard this in one of Markus' mixes in 98 and listened to it every day for a month. It took me over 13 years, but I finally identified it and picked up a mint condition CD on discogs.com.
Still got this on vinyl and Wether you agree or disagree, I think this still beats Xpander - which was voted Sasha's best ever track and best track of its era. Your thoughts?
Agree. Xpander, and the whole of that EP, is outstanding, but this has so many layers. A deep meaty bass and zingy rasps interspersed with some floaty, almost spooky bits. Ohmna is also a favourite.
I think Xpander was probably voted Sasha's best track as that was an original recording of his (with a heavy dose of Charlie May's influence) whereas this is a remix. Do agree with you though, Careful is a stunning remix. Have it on vinyl and would never part with it. One Sasha remix that rarely gets a mention is Pokinoi, from Cirque du Soleil. Here's the original version... ruclips.net/video/NJG20srkkoU/видео.html And Sasha's remix… ruclips.net/video/13OfFEOYab4/видео.html Never heard him (or anyone else) play it out in a club which is a shame because I think this would have sounded amazing on a decent club system. Edit - His Pokinoi remix does appear on this mix of his for a radio broadcast... ruclips.net/video/Y7QEsEFY3pY/видео.html
Anybody know if there was a version made with lyrics? Specifically saying " be careful" over and over, and over again? I have a thing that happened in about 2013 or so I was driving through a terrible ground blizzard and a song very much like this came on and I was probably going 55 in a 70 and the words warned me to slow down. I slowed to like 45 and suddenly i could barely make it out but i saw 3 people pushing a car to the side of the road. I would have most likely killed them if i had not slowed down. I looked in my rear view mirror and even though I had my rear defrost on, the frost n ice had made the exact shape of a moth. This song saved their lives!
The version on Dave Seaman’s Renaissance Mix Collection 4 CD2 blends the Brothers in Rhythm mix (which has the vocal) with the Sasha mix, that might be what you’re thinking of!

At sunny side-up

My biggest respect. Timeless Track
Gaëtan Schurrer You helped create something special that I have listened to so many times. Thank you!.
Gaëtan Schurrer - Great work and a lovely track. Arguably one of Sasha’s best remixes. Was he in the zone and on it that night?
Outstanding tune, after all these years - still. I am also fortunate to have it amongst my collection of 90's tunes, about 500 vinyl from 95 to 03
When the bass first comes in for me it's a pure Euphoric moment.
The Zeitgeist CD comp was amazing, with this and Sunday Club's "Etana's Fight" being the top tracks
Yes please
Still got this on Vinyl (Since 1997)

I cannot find the lush, original single with the string accompaniment ANYWHERE.
I have it :)
Didn't need that high hat
here we are ilistening and old gem......and 2024's music is RUBBISH!!!!
Quadruped by Bedrock,, nothing to do with Horse,, false advertising,, this is one tune before on rennaissance 😉
It's shite really , compared to what everyone else did with horses track. Progressive house is the worst house.
