Hey everyone new video is up on Blending Layers! ruclips.net/video/l-5UQaVUKvs/видео.html go check it out!
I just wanna know how to add a premade layer (like a already made flower or something or a new picture from photos) or its not possible??????? (I'm new to this so I'm looking for more tutorials for help)
Thank you so much. The layers concept was difficult for me to understand. You really broke it down in a way that was easy for me to comprehend. I totally get it now!
For me also it was difficult, but more I used the auto desk more I have discovered about it of my own
I've literally been using sketchbook for years but never knew how to use the layers. This was extremely helpful tysm!
You made it clear so easily, & your voice is so sweet❤.
Anyone who came here and are reading comments to see if the tutorial is worth it or not just stop scrolling and listen to her carefully she makes it so easy 💫💫
Thankyou so much ❤
Thank you ❤️ appreciate your comment
I could not figure out layers ,you explaining the order of layers was very helpful thanks
Excellent simply put tutorial. All tutorials should be like this, especially for a beginner. Thank you.
Your tutorials are very helpful for beginners. Thnks and keep spreading your knowledge.
thanks you made it more understandable for me
Absolutely loved this tutorial. Such a great teacher !
Thanks a lot, really i was wondering why my drawings didn’t looked professional and now I know why it was really helpful
Excellent explanation of layers. Your descriptions are the best I have seen. Keep up the good works. Thank you.
1:50 Thank you, this is very helpful video, it's what I was looking for ❤
Oh gosh You Don’t Know How Much You helped Me dude I was really struggling with that concept I wish I could have seen this video before 😊😊😊😊Thank U so much ❤️
thank you so much for this. it really helped me. and the part where sketch layer needs to be on top of color layers saved my life. could you perhaps explain the transparency tool? that lock symbol that appears below eye symbol. thank you for your videos. it's really easy to understand!!
the lock symbol its just locks the layer and you cant draw on it, not really useful but there u go AND when you click the layer you can see “lock layer” and its just the lock symbol. no prob for the help!
Thank you for making this tutorial it was especially helpful because I wanted to try something new!
Thanks for the advice I have just started digital art so u help a lot
Thank-you 😃, I have been using this app for a year but never thought of layering bcoz, I thought it would be so hard. But now I'm gonna do it🤘
Clean and straight to the point.

Thanks Boer! I didn’t know u were using this app for your project!
I use a lot of different apps but this one is by far the best
Very detailed explanation. Thanks
The reason I came here was to learn what is the difference between all the options like Normal, Darken , Multiple and all this types in layer column but I ended up watching video any beginner of sketchbook would know. Still good job.
Ok I will make one later on, thanks for the suggestion
@@pohsstudio7769 Thank you so much😀

I love this.... Thank you so much
Thank you
Its helped a lot ...loved it
Thank you! Now i finally understand :D
I use Procreate mainly but I need to learn a drawing software that can be used on android! I'm looking all over the internet to learn in Sketchbook can allow you to set a layer to reference and fill the shape on a separate layer. basically, I want to know if non-transparent templates can be used on Sketchbook. Thank you for making this video.
Nice teaching.
Thank you so muchhh this helped a lot I'm a beginner and I'm wanting to try digital art so this was really helpful! 😍
Thank you so much! you're a huge help❤️
This video is so helpful. Thankyou so much🥰🥰🥰

Your tutorials are great, if you'd zoom closer it would be perfect, cause its kinda hard to see the exact details of what you are doing. Thanks alot.
THANK YOU!! THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED!! IM CRYING LOL!!
Thank you!
Is there a possibility to choose all layers together and make your mashroom bigger? For example..
this was so helpful!
THANK YOU !!!
thankssssssssSSS I R lly NEEDED HELP T+WI TH THe coulring layers
So very useful!! Thank you so much❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much
Thank you for your vids, they really help. Could you have used the paint bucket tool to fill with colour instead of painting it in? Would this work with this? Thanks
Yes I have a separate video about how to use the fill function
Thank u 😊
This is very help full thank you😁😁😁
Thank you smmm, layers always confused me
Thanks!!
Helpful! Thanks!
Thanks for the tutorial. So i sketch with autodesk sketcbook but i want to edit later in adobe illustrator. i wonder if anyone knows how to transfer the works from autodesk sketchbook to adobe illustrator.
Thanks a lot...now it became easy to understand the layers
Your videos are amazing. They are well explained while still being brief and into the point. Thank you so much for this. I've been using the app for a while and have been struggling with some issues (like the deleted file/ using smudge brushes) and your videos are making everything much easier and clearer. One question through, in your video about blending the colours (the one you used an oval shape in to demonstrate) you were drawing a circle inside the oval shape and once you removed your stylus/ mouse, the circle fixed itself and changed into one without edges or wiggly lines. How did you do it?
Thank you for your comment 😊 happy to know my videos are making a difference to people. I can’t remember how I did it , could you show me where exactly like the time stamp? I’ll go have a look
@@pohsstudio7769 I cannot really remember where 😅 it has been a while...
Tha you for replying, though🍀
I am using the same app as you and I need to do know how you did what you did at 10:17 how you only erased the mushroom without going outside of the shape
Could you please do this for the app version? I can’t figure out how to add another image to another layer, whenever I try to there’s no way too from I’m seeing, it asks me if I want to save the layer I’m already on…
hey! thank you so much for this. i am currently using this on my laptop and when using layers, it has multiple options like duplicate, copy, darken, and many other. i understand the basic ones like duplicate and copy. but there are options like darken, multiply, shadow etc. could you please explain that?
New video is up on Blending Layers! ruclips.net/video/l-5UQaVUKvs/видео.html
I am a beginner on this app and I would like to know how to save seperate layers into my camera roll. I don't want to save it as a whole but I want to know how to save layers separately.
I don’t think the app allows you to do that
@@pohsstudio7769 okay thank you
What's that version of sketchbook?
Is there a way to select multiple layers and transform them without merging?
Not that I know, sorry
Is it possible to move the layers column on the right somewhere else?? I have a habit of accidentally switching the layer with the bottom of my hand while drawing... so i could be spending minutes trying to draw something just to realize its accidentally drawn on a wrong layer :(
No you can’t move the layer column unfortunately. I understand how you feel, sometimes my hand suddenly touches the layering column and if switched to a different layer too! If you’re using a pen you can click on pen mode under preferences and it should ignore effects from finger touching
Hi! Thanks for this tutorial! Do you have any idea how I can select all layers at one go and scale them down at the same time? I have quite a number of layers now and have no clue how to select all layers together without merging them permanently. :(
I don’t think the app allows you to do that
@@pohsstudio7769 I figured! :( Thanks for responding anyway! Appreciate your videos!!
Tysmmm
Hey, nice video! I was wondering, how do you assign a layer to another layer? For example in this video when you made the shading, did you assign the shading layer to the layer with the mushroom, so the shading only goes on the mushroom and not outside the lineart too? Or did you just erase the shading? Because to me it looked like the second case, so I was wondering if that's the only way to do it..
Since I can't use paint tool sai anymore, I'm trying to use this programme and see if it has the same functions as Sai. And this function in particular is very important 😭 If you can help me I would gladly appreciate it ❤
Hi thanks for the comment, so you create a new layer for the shading and depending on whether it's on top or below your drawing layer, the one on top will be visible
@@pohsstudio7769 Yes, but how do I make it so that what a draw only applies to the layer below? For example, on layer 1 I draw a heart, and on layer 2 I draw a pattern. If my pattern goes outside the heart, how do I make it so that everything outside the heart is not visible?
I'm starting to think that this function is only available in Sai..that's such a shame. I've tried so many times to figure out how to do this but it doesn't work...
Ah so I'm guessing the pattern overlaps the heart and you don't want the pattern to go outside the boundary of the heart shape when you draw ?
@@pohsstudio7769 Exactly 😅 The thing is that I've seen that you can do this by drawing something on a layer, then locking it. This way whatever you draw after is going to be visible only on what you drew. The problem with this though, is that I obviously can't draw shadows, patterns, lighting eccetera on the same layer..With the other programme I used to create a layer, then assign to this layer as many layers as I wanted (on top of it of course). This way I could draw something on the base layer, then on different layers I could draw whatever I wanted and go back and delete or modify a layer, all without the color to go outside what I drew on that very first layer.
But don't worry I guess with this programme it's not possible. I'll try to spend more time on it and see if I find a solution..
How to move multiple layers at same time on iPad Sketchbook Pro? If one has multiple layers for same piece and want to move the whole piece of artwork, how does one move all at the same time?
I don't think the app allows you to do that
6:40 I don’t understand it like I’m still drawing over the outline can Sb help me 🥺
thank you
One more question, how can I change the size of a canvas after I've chosen it and drew something on? Like I want to print the artwork in a 4A paper, but the canvas size is less than the needed for it to be printed with good quality. Is there any way to do this in Autodesk?
I don’t think you could change the canvas size after it’s fixed. However another way to do it is to save your artwork as a photo, then import it into a new bigger canvas, then enlarge it?
@@pohsstudio7769 thank you for replying
how do I remove the background layer, to have a backgroundless layer of just the drawing to place over a video?
If you mean a transparent background, I don’t think you can do it on this app. I’ve tried it before, it doesn’t seem to be possible
@@pohsstudio7769 okay, i figured it out on my computer, i was struggling doing it on the phone.
06:15 how do you do that with layers?
Is there a way to import a sketch (pic taken) , outline it over the pic of the sketch, then abandon the pic and start with just the outline?
Yes.. check out my How To Trace video tutorial
Hi, do you know how to paste half a layer? For water reflections
You can decrease the opacity of that layer
So for some reason mine deleted all my layers ._. It was all there and then when I went back the whole drawing was deleted and I clicked the layers and only one was left which had some background art on it. Is there a way to restore it or find out what happen ._.
Oh no :( I only know that you can restore deleted work but not sure about deleted layers
How do you move layers or some part of your drawing?
You move layers by tapping holding and dragging the layer. You can also crop your drawings
This video is very useful, but the layers have more functions(? (I'm not sure how they're called. I'm talking 'bout "multiply, glow" and so) and I wanted to know how to use 'em and what's their use, if you could show us I'd be very grateful.
I’m not sure what you mean by glow and multiply
@@pohsstudio7769 I'm not that good at explain myself, sorry (plus English isn't my mother language).
I use the PC version and when you have a layer selected in the panel it says "normal", when you click there a menu is displayed and appear other functions like "multiply, glow, color..." or something like that, right now I'm not close to my computer so I can't ensure it.
Hopefully this is a better explanation 😅
Thanks.
I think your version is different from mine :( I’m using the iTunes version and I don’t see those options there.
@@angelicapameladelgadolemos2467 Those are blending modes. I don't know much about them either and I'd like a video explaining more about them.
the layer menu is gone how am i gonna turn back
Is there a way to clip layers?
I’m not sure what clipping means
Wonder Ful... Make more videos
Thanks! Check out my other videos on my channel
How to save every layer into separated image?
Is it possible to change the lineart colour in auto desk? I usually draw my linart with black and I have to draw the highlighted regions again with a red tone :(
It’ll be hard to do that if they have already been drawn. The only way to do it is to use the fill function and reduce the tolerance level
Show fill option and layer
Hi , i tried cherry in sketch book , i guess it came out well...thank u for guidence..but i still didn't get the pen or pencil you are using for outline, when i draw the line it's not smooth when i zoom it..kindly suggest a tip for me
Which pencil are you using? Don’t use the pencil in the ‘Basic’ set, that one gives u rugged lines. Use the pencil in the ‘Legacy’ set, that’s the one I use for smooth lines
