I use Procreate mainly but I need to learn a drawing software that can be used on android! I'm looking all over the internet to learn in Sketchbook can allow you to set a layer to reference and fill the shape on a separate layer. basically, I want to know if non-transparent templates can be used on Sketchbook. I've literally been using sketchbook for years but never knew how to use the layers. This was extremely helpful tysm!

But I can’t find a way to draw line on a imported same picture in a new layer, my goal is add layer of design over the picture and I can erase or modified a design but not erase the picture. It’s there so where as i was working on one picture and it keep adding layer on the picture I was drawing on and I then didn’t want that. LOL

I always thought "sample all layers" meant to paint-sample all layers. In other words, it would paint all layers not just one layer. And here you say it means that the only one part of the entire drawing which was drawn in multiple layers gets painted because it ignores all layers and sees the entire drawing as one drawn in a single layer. Why call it "sample all layers" then? Lol 😅 Shouldve called it "sample one layer only" or "paint one layer only", or something similar to that🙄😩

my problem is i thought this app saves automaticly after i exit the app, the thing is that thinking that way, i decided to reset some changes (note that i just saved correctly once basically after the first traces i made, then i just continued with the drawing not saving, just exiting from the app and the continued the next day opening it again because thats how it works, in cellphone you leave the app and as long as you have not left the sketch to the gallery, the drawing is saved regardless of whether you leave the application or close it) i reseted them by exiting the sketch, not leaving the changes without saving and when it move me to the gallery, i realize my mistake, the app just saved the first and only save i make, i lose all my progress of 3 days and idk how to get it back, im now with a sketch of how the draw looked 3 days ago pls help, sorry if it hard to understand but inglish is not my first idiom
