That was so cool how the grail retracts and then emerges when the puzzle was solved… just like an Indiana Jones movie! However, the clue, as I saw another comment, should’ve been integrated somehow or not even mentioned at all. It wasn’t that hard of a part of the puzzle to solve. If you have a table that rotates, of course you will rotate it until something happens. Other than that, this puzzle was crazy!
This puzzle is worth 40k. winding it more than 90 before bringing it back can probably damage the mechanics. On the other hand, if its worth 40k, he could have made it work so that its a damage-proof puzzle basically.
This puzzle, as always, is AMAZING! But honestly, for 40,000 dollars, I was expecting a larger one, because it requiered "just" a few steps to be solved. But I love it!

That feature to let you pre-load the mechanism to make the grail be able to appear again is a great idea! Nearly as great as your face when it came up. :) Since it disappeared initially, I was curious how to "charge" the puzzle with some energy to bring it back. If you put back the lid and lift it after it came up, will it immediately disappear again or do you need to unload the mechanism with some additional steps before you can restart? Great puzzle and video!

video is edited. Took more than 10 min. Also, it is a 1 off puzzle. And its clear that the experience of the puzzle is what they spent the time on, not complexity. No other puzzle on earth has that level of WOW. You're severely undervaluing the two creators' time if you think that its 'too simple'. 20k in design adn 20k in craftsmanship is only 2-3 months of time for each assuming a reasonable salary, pre-tax, etc to make something that will only make them profit once. $40K a simple little Hanayama puzzle probably costs a similar anmount in R&D and purcchasing machining components and ordering materials but they get to sell thousands and thousands and make way more profit.
@@eurly93 of course its edited but if you know his videos he shows most of the solving of the puzzle. This was definitely a very very fast solve for a 40k puzzle. Way to easy.
“There’s a reason that they wiggle...otherwise they wouldn’t wiggle” 😂🍿 this is why I watch these, it’s because he makes you want to keep watching with the comments he makes
That's how he solves almost all of these puzzles is he looks for the parts that want to move and focuses on figuring out how to actually make that happen. It's absolutely beautiful! However, would have enjoyed the solve more if the hint was incorperated into the work of art. Maybe etched into the inside of the brass pieces that are removed; either by doing one line in a longer riddle or coded message on each piece (as it is the holy grail), or simply having etched: '⊾' and 'x4'. I love the simplicity of the expensive wood with the brass under the holy grail that I personally wouldn't have wished them to ruin the outside finish with some carved message on a panel (unless it was beautifully done & inlayed with brass;P). I'm honestly slightly disappointed in this puzzle. As amazing as it was built and the quality of the materials used, i felt like the moves to solve it would sort of match up you know. I just thought it would be more elaborate and complicated.
I agree also. Especially with Chris' ability to solve ~ I thought to myself, this is way too easy for him, he's finding stuff tooooo fast. I'm not gonna lie, I'm always jealous of these solves lol

So glad you brought this up, I was thinking the same thing the whole time 😆
Beautiful piece, but I feel like it was too easy and short!
Nice mechanics, but pretty lame as a puzzle
Yah I thought the same thing
This is literally INCREDIBLE
This was so good and I mean everything the puzzle , the intro....it's just so good
at 17.07 you looked like you were reaching directly for the next one but you backed up checked couple of corners and came back to it. I understand you have to add the surprise element . Big Thumbps up for the content. def considering buying one of these in the future.
Imagine that if all the puzzles that Chris has been sent in the last 5 years all amounted to one giant puzzle that he then had 24 hours to work out!! :D
Imagine being a robber, going to take the goblet and it just drops into the wood
One good swing
The builders of this puzzle watching this video like 😳 “that wasn’t supposed to come out” 😂
clicked recommended video, expected to see some cool puzzle cracking, got 5 minutes of never before released Indiana Jones.... PLUS cool puzzle cracking.
seriously though, that intro was the highest quality and most entertaining I've seen, was not expecting that, keep up the fantastic work.
Waiting for The Cinema Level Intro ❤️
Love you Chris. ❤️
I think he should a movie of his own.
A puzzle solving Adventure Movie
Sounds cool right?
Bro I would pay to see that
Yes it does
An interactive puzzle which spells out a story as it's solved?
This was legendary. The intro, design, editing… everything. Hats off to you sir.
I wonder if he actually completed the puzzle.
That is not the cup of a carpenter.
👏👏👏👏👏
🤣 the best comment ever 🏆🏆🏆🏆
LOLLLL
Absolutely Bloody Brilliant Mate! Hands down the most original comment posted. I reckon this completely skyrocketed over most blokes minds! Good on ya mate! Cheers from Western Australia 🇦🇺👍.
I am pretty stupid, can someone explain this comment and the joke behind it to me please?
I bet Chris spends more time filming and editing his intros then he actually does figuring out these insane Puzzles. Love all the shit you do bro!!!!!
This intro was absolutely top-notch! well done. cool puzzle as well.
LET'S GET THIS TRENDING!
holy shit i got a heart from Chris
Easy, just lift the glass top
Exactly lmao
Jajajja
Lol
Just wait to see what happens when I do!
Can some one suport me pls
Thanks for introducing it. Wonderful art wood work.
This dude literally made a whole short film to hype up the puzzle. This channel continues to amaze me!
That puzzle-solving thing that happened in the middle of the movie stood in the way a little, but overall a great movie! 😄
Longest and most laborious intro and DEFINITELY THE BEST ONE BY FAR! Was absolutely amazing! Been watching your vids the whole day after getting hooked on your puzzle shorts. But after this intro, I am SO subscribing! Outstanding job!
I recently found out this channel from your TikTok account! I am surprised that I didn’t know you before. Every video of yours feels a new experience for me. It’s crazy that one of your favourite movies is National treasure and it’s one movie I really like that nobody talk about!
Chris, those intros are getting wild. Absolutely loving it.
That does however look like the "You have chosen poorly" grail though.. lol
I guess he missed that part of the movie :)
The red grail or the blue grail.
Yep. Jesus was poor
The whole time watching this video
"Spin the entire puzzle"
The classic Chris move
What is he? Just a magician, loves puzzle, good with cards but the premium quality of his videos my guy that's what makes you one of the best RUclipsrs in the world.
The opening alone: holy fuck that was awesome
This is extremely awesome. I always watch your videos and love showing them to my friends. Before I watched your videos I didn't know puzzles like these existed and I would love the chance to eventually purchase a more intricate one of my own and solve it. Love the content man! Keep it up
When you said “one of the greatest movies ever made” I literally thought “National Treasure” and then you said it 😳 I’m glad I’m not the only one who thinks those are ace
Oh my god same lmao
@@corasings5580 Why are you laughing your ass off? It wasn't a joke. You socially nervous or something?
@@X22GJP you are social unaware
@@X22GJP you must fun at parties 🎉
I feel like ive had had harder puzzles that harder than this but wont lie the craftsmanship of it is beautiful
Thumbs Up for traveling “by map” 🍷
I absolutely loved the beginning of this and watching you just start from step one to the end i love it! And i love how much work was put into making this! Its truly amazing!!
amazing, great, well-done production value! cool puzzle!!!
I had to stop half way through that intro to go grab popcorn and a drink🍻 so awesome!
"How to blow your patreon budget for the rest of the year"
This man has achieved 100% intro mastery. I'm taking my hat off, aggressively.
I forgot I was watching a puzzle video, felt like a movie.
Wow, that was amazing. Now I know were Peter gets his idea for his last short movie. You are amazing Chris.
A nice piece, but the solution was too short for this size!
Sees MEMENTO MORI tattoo on his hand.
Instantly thinks of UNUS ANNUS.
Omg this intro, I haven't even finished it and I am incredibly impressed!! You and your team work really hard and it shows!! Phenomenal job!! I can't wait to see the puzzle that inspired such an amazing intro!
Bruh, for most of the intro i forgot this vid was about a puzzle. This was so intense and captivating. And the music!!! 💯💯💯💯
I'm honestly slightly disappointed in this puzzle. As amazing as it was built and the quality of the materials used, i felt like the moves to solve it would sort of match up you know. I just thought it would be more elaborate and complicated.
I agree, especially for something so expensive and is supposed to be the housing for The Holy Grail!
I agree also. Especially with Chris' ability to solve ~ I thought to myself, this is way too easy for him, he's finding stuff tooooo fast. I hope he wasn't secretly disappointed, especially for the money he spent on getting it built. Not to say the craftsmanship wasn't beautiful, but the solve, as I said, just seemed to easy for him.
Hmmm somehow I expected more from this puzzle, was quite easy to solve ? The mechanical work ons this one is amazing though ! How dit he know by the way that he had to pull the lever and set the switch back and push the button in that sequence on the end ?
i agree. 40k to be solved in like 9 steps.
@@druidalot6316 That's about the same as I said in my comment. Seems like a lot of work put into this puzzle and it is all mechanical - well, great, but a bit lacking in an entertainment value.
"be careful with this"
*slams the living f*ck out of the lid to close it*
haha
Idk why but I can’t get enough of puzzle solving.
