Being a card carrying member of the sissified "comfort carry" club... I switch between the 351PD and... don't laugh... NAA Pug in .22WMR as well. Hey... what can I say man... at least I always have something on me.
Funny, but me too most of the time, love both, have almost everything else, the naa I put large bulb grip , for just checking the property at night. And fairly fast with them. Comfortable , and can work wearing them.
As seniors we know what we like, and small, lightweight, low recoil firearms damn sure have a place in our armory...the heavier handguns are pretty much consigned to HD duty these days (and they do just fine at that), and in Feb '24 we carried a Beretta Jetfire today...I am thinking hard about acquiring a Keltec p32, plus maybe putting our NAA in a pocket...caliber is not as important as actually having one on you...
@@JohnPublic-dk7zd I'm in my 30's and I go for my jetfire quite often. It shoots good and accurate and it's something I can carry no matter what the conditions are. The NAA trigger makes me a little nervous. Never handled one though. I keep thinking of getting the pug but that trigger keeps me away. How do you like those?
I am SO in agreement with both guns. I carry them both. I also added a laser grip both. Took the laser off the pug and added the revision grip. Big improvement for the smith; much better grip for the pug.
I agree with you. Find a carry gun you can and will carry and carry that gun everywhere possible and CARRY EVERY DAY. Or buy several (I have many in rotation) so that there is always a gun to suit the situation/clothing/concealment need.
I had this one. Gave to my business partners wife. She loves it. Bought the 351c. Expensive. But I don’t mind spending money on quality and something I can carry daily. It does not collect dust in the safe. The Ruger was too big for my liking. Dandy revolver but I can carry the j frame appendix and pocket all day long in my suit and tie. I also have the NAA Ranger 2. Like a Rolex. Expensive as well but I carry daily along with my Sig p365 in 380. I rotate these along with a 638. J frames are timeless. I’m an undertaker. Don’t argue with caliber as I’ve embalmed several as a result of 22lr. Love your videos. Ty for your time ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I have been thinking of buying one of these for quite awhile. Especially as I age. However the exorbitant price pushes it out of consideration. I picked up a Shield EZ in .30 Super Carry instead. My wife is using that for now. She’s six years older than me and Cancer left her quite frail. For now, I’m sticking with my 10mm 1911.
Jim K ; Good on you Sir. My adult daughter is fighting Cancer now for about four years. She too has become a bit frail from all the Chemotherapy, Radiation and, surgeries. She carries either a .380 Ruger or a .9mm Ruger depending on how her feelings are that particular day. Prayers and comfort to you and your family. We know how devastating Cancer. can be. Stan
I’ve had a 442 Airweight for a few years, and just picked up the 351PD on Saturday. It will be my wife’s EDC. I was amazed at how much lighter it is (around 2 ounces) than the 442. We haven’t shot it yet, but I think it’s going to be a great option for her.
My M642 was a tip from a client of mine some years ago when I was still actively instructing for the Florida ccw permit. I put a good set of CT Laser Grips on it and it’s still dead on out to seven yards with those. Rudimentary sights not required.
If forced to choose one, I would rather have 7 rounds of the 22 Magnum than 8 of 22lr. Having said that, S&W has an 8 shot 22lr and Ruger does have a 22 Magnum version, albeit with only 6 shots.
I have an NAA Black Widow in 22 Mag. I love it. I also have a Keltec PM 17 in 22LR(very light). I’d like to add a 351 PD to my arsenal. Great table top review btw.
I have this gun. really like it. good sweatpants in the house gun or summer carry. did not like the wood grips so I replaced them with the old splinter grip pattern. these are smooth and feel good. I didn't like the way the bottom of the stock grips felt when I curled my pinkie around the bottom. so the older style feels better. the trigger smooths out with use. get some A-Zoom snap caps and dry fire it. wish they made speed loaders for it.
@@c.miller3802 hey once again thank you, went on their site and bought some, just got them today and loaded them up. got 3 and 3 more for my Taurus M941 ( which is an older version and works). and I will probably get more as well for my J frame and K frame revolvers.
351's big bro is sw 327 367/38 8 shot. what a beauty. also i laugh at ALL the vids with shooters standing still shooting at non moving targets. good luck on d- day with that one, big surpise coming.
I went gun shopping last weekend and looked at the S&W .22wmr The pistol is beautiful with the wooden grips. But the grip length for two fingers. Very very short. Maybe a woman's hand grip. I ended up buying the ruger LCR-X it has a longer rubber grip the I can hold onto with my entire hand. And it's-$200. Less then the S&W
Why the price jump from the 38spl? SW has these jframes on lock. If a 38 special is sub $500, why can't the 22lr or 22wmr? I get there's 3 more holes to drill in the cylinder but dang. It's not scandium or titanium like 360pd.
Hello warrior! I know that in front of the cameras and in front of the whole world, practically, we get a little nervous. I would just like to express my humble observation... so that the warrior does not fire 22 caliber weapons without ammunition because the precursor damages the keel of the drum or the chamber. Forgive me, just a reminder because I know you forgot this. Blessings in this coming year!
Good video. You might point out the Ruger LCR can be had in both the .22lr and .22 mag, either with an external hammer or with internal hammer only. The Ruger front sight is pinned and can be replaced with FO, SX Dot or night sight. IMO the Ruger has a better trigger pull but not nearly as good of trigger reset. To me the only advantage of the Smith over the Ruger is the reset and that is a significant difference. Additionally Hogue makes a bantam grip that fits the LCR series to make it more "pocketable". To me the issue isn't Ruger vs Smith but .22lr vs .22 mag. I've seen ballistic gel test and don't remember but I question whether there is enough real world performance of the mag over the LR from a 2" barrel considering both are manufactured in short barrel SD round, and I don't think they produce hollow point expansion from a short barrel. I don't think any difference in energy dump will matter. It's basically an issue of accuracy and sufficient penetration. The key is shooting a lot to make precise hits and "a lot" of shooting .22 mag is as expensive or more than 9mm range ammo. If I bought a .22 mag for SD I would buy a duplicate in .22 lr for range practice.
There is a different in a lr to magnum because there is more powder. Look at lucky gunners test between the 38 special and 357 from a two inch barrel there is a difference no matter how you slice it.
Thanks. Was really interested in this until I saw the price. $800 for a 22 mag anything is absurd, should be half that price IMO. My PMR30 that isnt much heavier than this and holds 30 rounds was only $400. Why are all S&W 22 revolvers twice the price of their 38s and same price as their 357? Quite ridiculous.
You really paying for the metal, I’m pretty sure part of it is scandium alloy, which is very expensive. That is what makes it I think one of the lightest revolvers in the world at 11 ounces empty
I would like to get one of those 942 revolvers, as well. However, I'll CARRY my 11.4 ounce S&W 351pd, rather than the 23.6 Taurus 942 (which weighs more than twice as much).
Yep...we carried the heavy 942, along with equally heavy .38s, for a long, long time...today, we packed a 12 oz Beretta Jetfire...getting senior is a bitch...I am considering putting the 4.5 oz NAA in the pocket, and thinking about a keltec p32...any caliber beats no caliber...

They make the p365 in .380?
I have the LCR 22 WMR in 2" and 3" barrels. I love it! But, truth be told, I'm envious of that extra round in the Smith.
I regularly carry the model 37 airweight variant of this, 38 special. The J frame is a concealed carry classic.
This is my wife's favorite EDC. She also has a 351C. She also occasionally carries her S&W Model 12 snubbie in an old Jackass Leather shouldet rig.
Got one and love it, also have the Bodyguard in 38 sp plus. Excellent light carry and or backup.
Very cool pistol. Thanks for the video
