Hi Bryce, I think the distributor wire needs to be fixed. Think about trying this; take a hose clamp and put it on the distributor wire boot where it was sliding off. It's a quick way to see if that fixes the problem. There is no doubt that wire will haunt you. Thank you for the shout outs and showing the book. Books can be so good. it's not like a phone screen or a comuter screen, both of which are great, but not as great when you are at the car working on it. You are making such good progress; it is a blast watching you!

Right now she’s over at Sosa and we’re looking at the points and seeing what’s missing on the distributor side I’m really hoping we’ll have some positive news by the end of the week but so far it seems like it’s probably just some slight adjustments. Man, that book really does come in handy. You’re right you can’t beat having a book staring at the screens just not as good. It’s a really helpful tool! Thank you so much, brother for all the help!
@3:02 Right behind where your fingers are is where the outer housing of the cable mounts. You slide the tip of the outer housing through until the collar contacts the U and the bolt clamps it in. That supports the outer portion so the inner has individual movement.

@11:10 that shut off like a switch if had ever heard one.... for sure. I bet the coil just said... NOPE. But because it's intermittent, it probably cools down and regains continuity.

Hey Bryce I think your right about spark being the problem, make sure your points and condenser are working, also on the E-brake seems like the cable housing down by the far end should have a fixed bracket so just the cable pulls in, it should be on the illustration manual if so, have a weekend brotha😀😀

Looks like there is plenty of lining on the brake. I think you're on to something with that coil wire. I would try it without the boot.
