Always loved Wolverine as a character. A man who is characterized by his tortured past and his internal struggle to retain his humanity against his own animalistic mutation and feral rage.
a lesson to all, if you think about it. you can let your past make you a monster OR you can use your past to fight current monsters, which in turn prevents them from creating more... it's that old cycle of abuse analogy. That's what I always liked about him. He has his faults, but he's a good guy. I sure wouldn't want him as an enemy!
It's weird seeing John Romita Jr's art from before my time. He was still going as I grew up, and he's still at it even now. The man has had a career for longer than I've had a pulse!
Ok now I haven't fully explored 90s X-Men yet. But these were written before Dog was invented and before we knew Logan's backstory, so their could be a chance they hinted at Sabertooth being his brother back then... Or the narrator is getting confused between Wolverine Origin comic lore Vs X-Men origins wolverine movie
yeah about that... for a while he was intended to be... specifically he was implied to be John Howlett Jr.. Though they later revealed him to be someone else. Prior to that he was intended to be Wolvie's dad.
something i always liked about him is his discernment and morality and how well grounded in reality he is compared to everyone else. he's the guy we wish we could be. AND Wolverine is all about that dangerous freedom and taking responsibility for ones actions. the bulk of his enemies are a threat to his freedom or the wellbeing of others. I wish we had more people like him in real life.
I love love love love love your Channel, I so enjoy the long form stories, and you have such a wonderful voice. I don't know if it's actually a human voice or if it's some computer, either way you do a great job of telling these stories, in a very soothing comforting voice LOL

Yes, these storylines are like writers just don't want ANYTHING they consider "traditional" LOL, so the alternative are super contrived and overly-done.....I don't have a word for it LOL. It just IS crap.
Yep. Canadians and their human rights violations 😢. That comment was meant to be ironic on the surface because of Canadian stereotypes but the Canadian history with natives makes this more apropos.
To my understanding it was a mental thing. That why he slowly started to look less feral losing the hair on his arms, getting his nose back, and then finally looking like himself again.
@@assassinsknight on reflection I think I could see it being a mental thing too. Like his artificially induced skeleton kept his healing factor stable. Where as he turned into a steroid monster without it. Like he has a degree on mental control he has never had to use. Also, I do not consider the no nose cannon. As not all artist drew him like that.
Wrong. In earlier comics, cartoons, and then later in wolverine. If not mistaken, only on certain earths though. Great catch, because most people don't catch that
Missed opportunity to not bring bishop back and colossus and cut out the acolytes flat scan stuff in 97 idk why they used early 2000s stories instead of sticking strickly to 90s 80s 70s and 60s comics utilizing kitty pryde colossus dazzler ice man etc
He stimulates his muscles psychically to avoid degeneration constantly and subconsciously which is why he's limited to telepathy? Idk, I haven't read anything suggesting that but I think it's a good explanation for the choice
What, Charles can't have muscular legs? you're so prejudice against people in wheelchairs who want to have muscular legs who have to get fit to fight Magneto!
This makes me realized how rushed ‘97 was, even more so than I thought before. I kinda wished they did 24 episodes or build up to the super centinal arc for the next season. Give everything a more natural progression and growth then just shoehorning plot for the sake of more plot without giving the chapters to process or let us see their process more clearly. It’s really sad.
Weapon X was a Canadian Military Program not American Sabert Tooth and Wolverine are not brothers they have no relation at all. Wolverine in main continuity has two half siblings Dog Logan from his mother and John Howlett Jr from his adopted/legal father.

Wolverine #90! Right before the Age of Apocalypse, Adam Kubert pencils 🤌
Stop referring to sabretooth as wolverines half brother…he’s not
I find it really hard to believe that his bones claw can cut through metal.
Stronger bones due to his mutation. Easy.
This is awesome I had the first issues but never got a chance to get the rest this was a great time 💯
The only thing that made this storyline tolerable was the awesome art of the Kubert Brothers.
