Absolutely my pleasure! The book is so good and so pivotal in my own magical development that I reviewed it again with the reprint: ruclips.net/video/x8aCR2-YVKk/видео.html Your dad is a magic legend and a personal hero of mine. I had the privilege of meeting him at MagiFest before his passing.
I just pulled this book off the shelf thanks to this video. Spending some quality time with the ‘ACAAN’ chapter - thanks for highlighting one of the greats in magic. Love your channel.
I have not read this yet but it was selling for $30 yesterday and I tried to buy it moments after it was posted but was a second too late. It is high on my wantlist! Great video as always.
hey, Im trying to buy a copy of this too on eBay. But a lot of sellers are selling it expensive. So, just wondering how much did you pay your book for?
@@EruditeMagic Question. Could you possibly do something like a "1 foot video" but with out of print and hard to find books as well? I noticed you had some classic hard to finders as well.
@@EruditeMagic Sounds like the book has very diverse contents in terms of mentalism. Now its definitely on my to-buy list. hopefully can stumble upon a cheaper copy across some platform like eBay. haha
As of today Amazon has this at $146 Abe Books at about the same price. I wonder about the "We should write our own scripts." I am astonished, and not in a good way, with how many people can't tell a story or even a joke. Learning even just the words from people like Ricky Jay, Pop Haydn, and Penn Jillet would be a great education in turning a trick into a story or routine.
Thanks for the review, it also was one of the books I wanted for a very long time. I was just as lucky as you when the book went on secondhand sale in my local magic shop for about 60 euro (it was the only book I hapend to get with that much luck). I was behond my self when I bought it. Do you perhaps have got the book: the Book of Monkeys by Chris Philpott? I would love to see a review of it. It is also one of the books I can not wait to be reprinted/ buy on a sale somewhere.
@@EruditeMagic Yeah the 100th Monkey is the DVD, this is the book about the principle, a very limited book, only 500 copies exist. So it is very difficult to get your hands on and it is also very old so it is almost impossible to get. Still I do hope the book would get a review on youtube, just so I can enjoy it a bit even if I don't have it :)

Thanks, @Dusty Hill - your experience confirms my mention that there are deals out there if you're patient! Good look procuring this beauty 👍
That was a great reminder of a fantastic modern classic. More please.
@Erdnase23 - thanks for watching! More is coming...
Classic book! Looking forward to watching your take on this and revisiting Barrie’s work.
Thanks, I'm excited for it, too!! 😁 Barrie's work is timeless...
Just purchased this book last week!!!
I knew that! 🔮😉😆

Hope you win the eBay bid before tomorrow, because there could be a lot more competition after my review 😂
@@DanielMendoza-su3ei honestly I think I paid like $115. I saw act two for like $225 and the third book for about $450. Still worth it in my opinion.

Great review. I borrowed a copy of this book years ago, now I think I will have to look for a copy for my collection.
Should have kept the borrowed copy. Mistakes were made...😉😄
Thanks for reviewing this!!! Im really excited looking forward to this review!
Good, I can't wait for you to see it!

It *will* be back in print, or so I have been told by people at Penguin who should know 🤷🏻
Vanishing is selling it atm in print
🔥🔥🔥 get it while it's hot!
This just got reprinted and is currently available for $42 at Vanishing (and others).
💯 I love it when a book is reprinted‼️🤩
It’s officially republished and available now for $42 at most magic shops!
Yes indeed! Miracles do happen 😄
Thanks! You have inspired me to read the trilogy again. Cal
You bet! 👍 Post again with some of the things that you're finding with your reading - enjoy❗
Great review, are you going to do Act Two?
Thanks. Eventually, yes. I heard it's going to be re-released this year, so I may try to coincide with that
@@EruditeMagic Really? I hand heard about that, fantasic news for anybody who doesn't already own a copy.
This is great! Thank you for this review!! 🔥🔥🔥❤️
@Ritchy Flo - you're welcome! Thanks for watching❗👍
Another book I’ll try to snag if I see it at a decent price. Thanks.
@David Goldberg - you bet 👍 Thanks for watching 👀 😀
What do you mean it's not real magic ;-) This is one those books I find myself going back to, time and time again. Great review.
Thank you, @Jered Schaugaard!
Hi! Great channel! Where can I find more about Ross Johnson’ take on The Trick that F’d Einstein? A Google search came up empty. Thank you!
It's in his penguin live lecture. He may have also published it in a booklet, but I don't have that. 👍
@@EruditeMagic thanks a lot Jeff! Keep up the great work.
