In a course I'm taking, I was asked to conceptualize a project, then identify project objectives to begin implementing the Risk Management processes. It would have been much more logical to start with the Project Charter created by someone else, but I guess we had to jump start the process somewhere. This video is very helpful. Thanks a million!

Yeah the business case is something that happens before to are assigned to the project. The charter clarifies everything the sponsor(s) want done. You use the business case to help make the Charter
Business case happens a step before the project chartering , a project that can't be justified in cost-benefit analysis of the business case won't be started. Business case is the reasoning behind why a project should be authorized and resources be allocated to it according to the PMBOK(R).
