Watching this video for the fifth time. Trying to memorize and learn. What an amazing tool and what a great explanation video. One of the best tutorials i've watched. Zero b...it and on point all the time.
After two afternoons/nights of comparing clippers and limiters, it feels just unreal that now, with fresh ears on day three, this beauty is the clear winner while being ~twice as cheap as the others. ARE YOU GUYS CRAZY? That's just amazing, and to be honest, you could even charge twice the price solely because of this GREAT tutorial (#byebyewaves). THANK YOU!
I find it crazy that our competition is unable to sell their products at listed prices. At the end of the day, they are forced to strike them though, and also sell around 50-60$. :) We don't advertise at all, so we can save you from having to finance the bullshit part. When buying from us, three quarter of your money goes directly into research and development, with infrastructure and taxes eating about a quarter. It's non profit in the sense that no bank, no greedy mr Burns or Silicon valley investor is involved (all goes into paying developers/tech).
so God is a VST marketer with an absurdly twee delivery, unable to resist the urge to dribble out a 'jen-till' and 'trans-PAR'int' every ten seconds? lol
Let me say it all over again and as many time it is needed this is another instant buy.... TAKE MY MONEY TDR these guys need to be supported they are doing great plugins and not the same renamed plugins that everyone does in this days i have Air Eq, S Bundle and many more plugins and none of them come near to this plugin guys please dont sell out to the big companies you are doing some AMAZING PLUGIN WORK you deserve a plugin award for your job!!
I've spent some time comparing it to several top limiters and yes, if you know what you are doing it clearly stands out. Doesn't hide behind some obscure algorithm designations which distort or duck because of weak controlability. Great tool for those who want to know more about proper limiting by the way.
Had I known this was coming out, I would have held off on the (rather specialized) TDR DeEdger purchase! Sadly, I can't afford this now, due to that relatively steep (these days) investment. Regardless...Limiter 6 GE is a must-have plugin and I am very happy with this feature set! Finally someone has put out a Limiter/Maximizer/etc. package that has just about everything you could want (except perhaps a more robust dither package...but I use a separate, pet favorite anyway) in a Limiter and gets all the stuff...right! There are so many good sounding Limiters out there that still don't have gain matched A/Bing. Whatever one chooses to call it, it's essential to compare volume matched "befores and afters" (or else louder is better every time...!?). So, Bravo on not messing that up! Bravo on all the Mid-Side implementation too--that obviously was well thought out and not easy to fit under one GUI hood! Bravo also on the separate HF Limiter (I hate harsh hi hats!) and for your acknowledgement of the need for, yes, clipping on a master...it's not a secret anymore is it!? Lastly, it's laudable that TDR has devised a limiting plugin with such a comprehensive and high-quality set of dynamics tools--including all the bells and whistles one could imagine--and metering necessary to make a great master at such an affordable price! Oh, how could I forget??? ...Dan Worrall is absolutely, without any doubt, THE BEST plugin "introducer" and tutorial guy in the business! And it's not only his voice!! ...it's the care and attention he gives to uncovering every nuance of the plugin and how it can function, both technically and artistically--all delivered within the context of and with a deep knowledge about the audio topic itself. And, Dan's own audio and mixing examples show that, along with his impeccable engineering (used to illustrate often subtle changes in timbre), we can actually hear those changes--thus hear the plugin! He does an excellent job of making sure we all can get a real audition of what it sounds like (I can't believe that some videos DON'T do this still)! You can tell that Dan is a seasoned pro who knows both engineering and plugin development as well as the designers do--while also having a knack for putting together logical, well-explained videos, friendly to experts and up-and-comings alike!
This is a no brainer. Used on a few projects since I got it, sit on the mix buss along with the Slick EQM EQ. Also use it as a pre to the out on my analog chain, massive flexibility and control. This company is killing it. Oh love this Dan Worrall guy, sexy smooth announcer man.
i use limiter6 free a lot, which is still an amazing plugin itself... and i knew limiter6 GE had some improvements/addition but didn't deeply investigate it... but as usual, Dan MFing Worrall dropped that knowledge bomb like BAM, and now i feel silly for not getting it last time it was on sale, this thing is an absolute BEAST Limiter plugin
These have to be some of the best tutorials on the web. Well done TDR - great products, I wish I had known about your products earlier, I would have saved myself a lot of money.
I had to LOL when I came for a deeper explanation, enthusiastically noticed Dan being the presenter and then read the comment section - where, of course, people praise the plugin but Dan Worrall as well. He is a gem. Never ever let him go, TDR!
when i hear the explanation of this video i feel like i am smarter. i bought the Limiter 6 Ge and now need to know how to work with it. i know it`s awesome only problem is i "have to unlearn what i have leeearned" (yoda) . Awesome plugin and respect for giving us normal earners the chance to afford such a great piece of creation. Respect
Vladislav, Fabien, and everyone else at Tokyo Dawn, thank you so much for the work that you guys do. I don't tend to make a lot of purchases, but after much pondering, I'm glad I bought the limiter. Just bought it through the 'No Brainer' sale [stingy, I know], and with five digital modules in one, I think it's not a far fetched name on your Black Friday sale, especially for 40% off. I will be using this limiter, sometimes in conjunction with the legacy version, as the limiter and true peak seems to be a lot more transparent than Vlad's original version. The clipper in the original is my personal favourite though, but maybe that's my preference for aliasing that's coming through, or it's slightly more relaxed on the transients. Compressor and high-frequency limiter are definitely miles better in this one. Also, this plugin works very well in a Bottles emulator, so if anyone on Linux wants to try the demo or to buy it, it will work through wine-staging 9.0 or 'soda'. Can't say the same thing for many other companies, where you usually just get a black screen on emulation, so this is a big plus. The work you guys do for music technology is very commendable, and limiters are definitely one of the hardest tools to get right, and I think your limiter is up there with Limitless and Barricade.
You guys are Amazing. The Video is Amazing, and (since i am amazing in many ways myself, but as a user, not with the power of programming, and creating tools, for us to use. I have bought the Limiter instantly. I should use it, and say something nice, afterwards, but since that is not my workflow, i might update that information later. Witch is now...) the first impression using it is pretty lovely. I am still "noob-trying" witch is very useful, because i need to lear how to use every parameter of your device, to fully understand how to use it, and what it is capable of. But the result of "noob-trying" so far is a very satisfiening experience. In my Opinion Izotope is the strongest contender i know. But the pay 200 bucks more for the advanced version to get the option to use the single components of ozone 7 might be a error in my thinking, but since i like stuff that works quick. Your Product is the better choice for me right now. And i like plug and play stuff, that allows me to set my focus on what i am doing, and to really use my own capacity for the final product: the music made to satisfy people in general. I have looked for a limiting option i feel comfortable for finalizing stuff. And i have found it here. Thank you very much for your service as a company of brilliant people. Your customer friendly policy (free stuff, for people to use the core of your products, to give them power for music, and the option to really test if, and when it is useful, to upgrade to the (in your case really) advanced gentleman edition) is really working in my case. I am (as you might see in this comment) very happy right now. And i am looking forward, to "doing a lot of cool shit" with the power of your tools.
Just bought the Everything Bunlde and had chance to try it on a EDM drums bus. It is awesome! Perfectly doing what you need it to do. The HF limiter part is sooo good
OMG yeh, and with a soundtrack to go with it! Just got this today....didn't realize, yesterday I was trying to get my head around mastering and today it's all sorted! Sorted! ;D
It's funny how Tokyo Dawn Labs easily creates the best mixing/mastering plugins, and more than that, they are free. And more than that, there a versions of those plugins which do cost money, aaaaand more than that these are even better. So sick.
Amazing tool... maybe the most sophisticated Limiter... the freeware "Limiter 6" gives you options like this one but here you may have much more than everything... the only you need is time to experiment with your sound again and again... congratulation!
Wooow ❤ Gain reduction needle reaction to the dry/wet amount is amazing on the compressor module 🔥 It can really help to sure to the amount of the parallel processing visually 🙌🏻🎚️🎛️
It’s the DELTA function that has me sold. I want to be able to hear just how much and what kind of distortion I’m adding to my track and this is one of the very few limiters that give me that.
14:21 Wow, the width drive!!! Can it be automated and used for creative purposes? I'm thinking of using it like a filter, but instead of lowpassing the signal you narrow and widen it.
bought this bad boy, been using its "beta" version called "Limiter№6" for ages... was about time to update, as the GUI of the old one did not respond well in Cakewalk 2022.02
After successfully mastering with the free version, I purchased the GE edition yesterday. What a fantastic suite of tools! The only complaint that I have is, my Auto Pad doesn't function correctly. It lowers the level of the bypass and the non-bypass signal. Pressing bypass with Auto Pad still drops the level. I didn't let that stop me though! I wish I knew what the problem is. Using it with Reaper, on a track, not the Master Bus.
This is how plugins should be presented and explained. TDR doesn't want to sell us some sort of magic but actual tools to work with.
This is the Legendary Dan Worral! 🥰
This plugin is so underrated. I love every single bit of it

Everything TDR does is Gold, including who they choose to endorse & demo their products. Go on ya Legend, Dan. Great stuff.
Dan's a phenom....🥰I wish I had a brain!
What a true pro. No ums and ahs. Great tutorial and plugin!
No De-Um or De-Ah used!!
i'm still overwhelmed by all the features and possibilities! WOW!!
YES! thank TokyoDawnLabs for listening our request for Dan Worrall tutorial. Thats the man!

Might as well be the voice of God. Well done, TDR and Dan.

TDR is one of the best plugins companies out there and this is marvellously well presented.
Респект за то, что хоть они то додумались разделить модуль сатурации, клиппера... Да ещё и менять их в цепочке местами туда-сюда.
He comprado todo el paquete de producción de Tokyo Dawn Records ❤
Awesome tutorial by Dan! Amazing plugin by TDR!
лучший лимитер из известных мне ... разработчикам БРАВО !!!

Hand down one of the absolute best mastering tools at a price that’s a steal. Highly recommended! In fact, all of their plugins are phenomenal!
Incredible demo.
Honestly, Dan's tutorials are so clear and straightforward, I'd buy a garbage pail masquerading as a zerro gain utility from the guy ;)
I like TDR plugins its like they built warmth into each of them
Solid tutorial Dan ,,, keep up the good work TDR.
