I cannot express enough just how bad a decision that is. That'll be the equivalent of the CGI version of the anime as any large deviation will jar most people. Some may like it, but most will probably hate it.

Videos and speculation like this wouldn't be necessary if Studio Gaga had an open line of communication with its fans. Instead, like we've been doing basically forever, we have to speculate and guess.
Someone from Studio Gaga simply going on Twitter or something and saying "Berserk is going on hiatus and this is why" would save a lot of heartache and stress on the community. Idk why they've always been so private and hush hush about Berserk. Do they not realize how many millions of fans the manga has and hoe popular it is...? This issue even goes way back into the Miura days.

Supposedly the biggest thing keeping berserk schedule back was miura being a perfectionist so maybe once the team gets the workflow right they will be fast. Basically, imagine your boss who is the main guy and everyone has been working for years now dies, no one even knows what’s going to happen, who is going to replace him, and what problems taking his place will bring, you need to shift people around, some probably will be sad and maybe quit, morale is low, people Will probably need a break or some time to heal and accept the death of the project leader
But eventually with time people get used to new settings, they find solutions, and with experience everyone becomes better at their job, bad positions get changed until things balance out, then people become their most productive
It’s been a few years since miura passed but I think if all of these factors will be resolved soon, we might start seeing quicker releases this year. But if not, then maybe it means management is not going very well
I get the idea of Griffith betraying the godhand but i feel like Void is the end game. He is the holy see religion, i think he has a way better understanding of what god is and what the plan is of the idea of evil. I think Griffith is being used in some way, just like he thinks he's in control but he's just reacting, not acting on anything.
Mark my words, Void is the mastermind behind Griffith, and God is the one holding the strings.

Imo Void made the ungodly god born of man and he's the priest of it. At the least he's the one that made the ability to commune with it. The cycle is 216 years a new Godhand member and every 6th member is a replacement of the head. In this case it's Guts with SK being the former Femto character. It's not 1 to 1 but the story progression lines up with both born of nothing but uniting a kingdom and a sacrifice being the end of that kingdom by a former friend turned enemy. What Guts has been going through but specifically right this moment is the turning point in which he can give all to the beast in black and descend into power like Griffith did before but in a massively larger scale.
I don't think Femto will turn on the Godhand or if that's even possible for him to do with him not only being in the flow of causality but a hand of the source of that causality. I think it's more likely he will go mad because he was struck by the Dragonslayer that cut a single hair from his head. Ganishka went mad very quickly but with the power and wound difference I think it will be slow and not until everyone else turns against him will he fully go mad.
It's a fact that Studio Gaga has many chapters ready, the publisher is the one that's keeping them unreleased. If it was up to Mouri, I believe they'd release them either monthly or at least one a month. It's foul, but that is the unfortunate reality.

@@milosniffer5293 from what I can gather, just speculation. But the speculation does make sense. Studios do that a lot when stuff start to slow down. They would rather wait a couple months gather up all the chapters, then release them in one big chunk of chapters.

I think what a lot of people don’t realize is that gaga has no control over when chapters are released, that’s all up to young animal. They could have 10 chapters ready to go right now but it’s not in their control to drop them.

I understand that the studio is trying their best to continue the story without muira but these delays are still stupid.The main problem is that whatever notes left behind by the author is simply not enough and the studio will need to start writing the story on their own now which I understand, giving how beloved berserk is, is a very scary task. With such high expectations and how gifted muira was as a writer its not easy to replicate his level of quality, I believe berserk will have an ending in the far future that will be dissapointing. Its sounds harsh but this is just what i believe.
I mean it will end sooner rather than later. This is confirmed to be the final arc of berserk so depending on how long it goes for we could end sooner than we think. I just want them to take the time to make it as good as Miura envisioned which can also take some time, either way i feel its in good hands for now.
I'm at a point where I genuinely wouldn't mind if the story was leaked, so I can just finally know how it ends.

The only way I can see for Guts to kill Griffith is to kill the moonlight child. That's the only time he's weak. Maybe Casca will kill the child and that will give Guts the opportunity to strike down Griffith.

The way i see it, we already had the info we needed, miura kind of dropped enough hints. Guts is literally the incarnation of death already. So we can say guts was getting equipped to take on the godhand when no else could, especially with the allies he was acquiring. Things were and probably are going to eventually climax, and the corrupt world would and will have to fall, and it will take everything the world can the throw at the godhand.
Seems obvious enough, but mostly it was nice to see caska come back while miura was still alive to oversee it, was important for him and us to get that done at least, sucks we cant see the rest with his detail.

In most stories the archetypes, representations, of things become real and are given power, in berserks case miura followed this rule too. So the most powerful nature spirit's are given representations, and vice versa, ultra powerful wind spirt, fire spirit whatever. The idea of evil and spirit worlds in berserk is then implemented to complete the lore and explain it. However that also means that guts would have an archetype as the main character. In berserks case guts of course does, his sword becomes capable of literally slaying spirits because he becomes so entangled with death(and of course was born from a dead mother). And currently in the story, no else even comes close to representing that archetype. Maybe zodd with his war archetype, or Griffith with his antichrist archetypes.
It just feels like another boat arc with difference that Kentaro Miura is rip instead of hiatuses

Dude Guts swinging the sword is progression bc it takes him closer to his objective is no matter which is either do something for Kaska or killing Griffith so the last 5 chapters have been fillers because they don't know what to do... you are right in your assessment that the story has a scale so big it's cumbersome to move it forward. In my humble opinion they need to move forward and probably that's what they intended with Kaska's kidnapping but what I mean is, in order to deliver a satisfactory ending they need to either start to unravel the main plot towards it's conclusion or to have another pivotal moment in the struggle between Guts and Griffith. Clearly the plot points towards that happening with this Kushan arch and the armies of Griffith converging on the characters, either this means a climax(which I doubt) or an important point it needs to accelerate and present certain themes to signal a movement towards some a final act.
The breaking of Falconia's illusion as a Utopia or finally Skull Knight closing in the Godhand, Guts showing he has some way of threatening Griffith... whatever it is they need to dare moving forward. To me clearly the end of Griffith has a direct relation with two elements, first the moonchild which clearly means Griffith has merge with Guts child giving him the weakness of still feeling something towards both of them. And second the fact that Phanto never completed his demonic ascension, the two most important sacrifice never were delivered, to my understanding the fifth dark angel isn't that much invincible nor this immortal being because his transformation has two big holes.

Its better that the series doesn't end with a bang. We all want an ending that will never come and it will live with us and inspire us. I hope people continue its legacy through a truer work instead of the garbage low effort references the industry tries about. Something like what Pluto was to Astro Boy.

Yeah but if he uses the green Behelit therefore going to the realm of the god hands, won't he be sucked by the souls of the damned like the slug baron ? I mean it didn't happen during the first arc of the story because it was the baron summoning the god hands, but what if a branded sacrifice calls the god hands ? Shouldn't he be sucked in?

My best guess is they’re working on a new release schedule where they can systematically release so many chapters a year going forward. So they may be stockpiling chapters and once they have enough to keep the fans and Young Animal happy they’ll drip feed those out while focusing on the new ones

Also, one of the people who works for Studio Gaga has said that Chapter 376 has been completed, but for some reason they just aren’t releasing it. Like why?!?!?!

I when Guts and Griffith were talking about angles and demons and Griffith said is there really a difference between the two. It hasn't really been mentioned, but what if there are other entities like the god hand but are the embodiment of good the complete opposite of the god hand pretty much angles. But they don't intervene unless conditions are met or dire enough for them to do so. or triggered by a choice Guts makes that is righteous. they could have the power to remove his brand even possibly imbuing Guts with power kinda like how the god hand did with Griffith. Ok so here’s my theory, hear me out and bare with me.
Griffith is holding Casca hostage to lure Guts in. What he REALLY wants is for everything to go back to the way things where more or less, with Guts and by extension Casca being his puppets again. He’s essentially rewriting “his Band of The Hawk” story but on his terms now.
He’s literally a god now, he has his own kingdom, he has the Princess, he has his subjects and “Knights”…the only thing missing is the two important people that he actually seemed to “Value”…Casca and Guts.
He’s already taken Casca, now he’s just waiting for the closest person he ever saw as a brother in arms to come back to him. Griffith quite literally wants to control everything in the narrative…
As for Rickert being able to slap Griffith, my theory on that is the main reason he was able to do that…is because Rickert was never Branded. He was the only one that never Witnessed the eclipse, where as Guts despite his big power up with the berserker armor STILL Couldn’t touch him, but Griffith can touch him and Casca. Which makes me believe that anyone who was branded and marked as a sacrifice cannot literally touch the person who offered them up…BUT anyone who wasn’t branded can still touched them.
So this leads me to believe that in order for Guts to even lay a finger on Griffith, somehow…SOMEHOW, they gotta repeal the Brands binding magic, OR the gotta find a way to quite literally REMOVE THE BRAND.
Again that’s my theory.

I think Guys is going to have a choice. He’s either going to have to use the beheilt to match Griffith’s power, but sacrificing everything in order to kill him. Or he breaks the cycle and finds another way to harm Griffith. The way I view it he either strikes down Griffith out of rage or strikes down Griffith out of justice.

It feels more predictable that it will just be a final showdown between the 2 different kingdoms and then in the midst of battle the god hand is summoned and tries killing all people of hawkonia. But they fail and they are stopped so is griffith who gets killed. Then princess peach is then saved everyone lived happily ever after the end.

Reminds me of the ASOIAF/Game of Thrones book series, the author has simply introduced too many different POV characters and plotlines, the last book came out in 2011 and it doesn't seem like he's been making much progress.
There are a lot of parallels. They're both grimdark stories. Amazing in their own ways. And I doubt we'll see a GRRM ending to ASOIAF (but most of us have already figured the big questions out anyway. So it's more of a logistics issue anymore).

To be fair anyone marked as a brand of sacrifice or that has had an interaction with apostles is doomed to Hell, so Guts is going to suffer no matter what. He might as well become an apostle to kill them. Now if some way out of that fate is revealed then he should take that, but since Berserk is pretty dark and gloomy I don’t see any salvation.
Miura said it will have a bitter sweet ending which still could be a harsh ending but I doubt it will be that bad
I don't get it, I'm new to the series, i know the original author died some time ago and that it was still unfinished but what is taking so long? My assumption with the author being dead is that whoever controls the property would want to wrap it up asap. Having only watched the show I would have assumed the story would have run it's course years ago. Is it just a George RR Martin thing where the author wasn't working on it consistently? Or did he just intend for the story to carry on indefinitely?
I don't think Guts even can use the Behelit. You need 2 things to be able to sacrifice and he fulfills neither. You must have someone physically present you love to the point the sacrifice(s) tatters your soul and you must condemn that soul to hell. He's already a sacrifice so he can't give his soul to demonkind, they already own his soul. The party may fit that criteria but I would argue Casca is the sacrifice that's most significant. I believe there's something more we don't know yet that he could do such as become a Daemon like Flora did.
To become a Daemon you have to be a powerful Mage or "Hero" and the Black Swordsman is legendary at this point. A lot of survivors only survived because of him and his party. The biggest boost to his status are the apostles, from the very beginning of the story he's the monster in the dark of their world. I think there's enough wiggle room between the world we've seen built and the fact it's Fantasia now that Guts very essence of never staying down can hold literal power in the story.
Casca is going to become obsessed with getting her moonlight child back. Thats why she was drawn to Guts on the hill of swords. She could sense him. Shes going to die trying to get him back. And they're finally going to pay off the beast lurking inside guts.

And you know what, I might be okay with that! The journey has been incredible, and I truly feel like the cast has gone through significant development, I would be okay if it ended now.... Not all storylines need to be completed for the story to satisfactorily conclude. I think one thing that's happening in the writing room is the discussion about what to include and what to throw away to get to the end efficiently without losing the pace. Everything so far from the new studio is dramatically pushing the narrative forward.
