Nice talk Chris. I believe the reason you have become a RUclips star is because there is never anything phony or staged in your videos. Your successes and frustrations are all recorded with the same attention to detail. Real life stories are what makes your channel so interesting and unique. A little physical labor in the great outdoors is the best peace for your soul. I'm with you on that. GNI

T0 Chris, You are the guy, why I started my own little woodyard. I have had 3 deliveries and I´m about the start. YOU gave me example that hard work really pays. I´m so happy, I can be outside and do something with my hands. As I told You earlier, I´m tower crane operator and I sit in a small box 8 hours a day..most days 10-12. It´s so great to be outside and smell the wood and fresh air. YOU are the inspiration and kind of my exsample how to do things. I like to work hard and it´s so great to watch YOU and YOUR work. Very engouraging and I wish You all the success and wealth there can be! Go Chris!

5 reasons main reasons why, I like doing doing firewood
1 You get to be in the forest in nature, it's simi relaxing
2 you clean up the forest, Make it more accessible for you and the animals and less fire danger.
3 Product, Have it for yourself or to sell later..like money in the bank..
4 Bark/kinding As a waste products The bark can be used for landscaping and trails. The kindling can be used to starting Fires or sell it too..
5 Is relaxing, Enjoying the fire the Fruits of your labor..

My number one reason was to break bread with you. I am Polish Catholic and breaking bread while taking a break from work is a must. Sharing a meal with friends is a ritual.
I enjoyed my chicken sandwiches while we chatted and you had ketchup served with a side of burger.
On a side note, my streak of watching videos will be paused. I will be taking care of my friends kennel operations while they attend their neices funeral. There is no cell service where I will be staying.
Not sure how many dogs as the numbers fluctuate. There might be some vacation boarders. Usually between eight and eleven Field Goldens.

We love the bennifits of firewood.... My wife and I do all the work gathering and preparing it... We enjoy the exercise and also the benifits of the wood heat in our Home.. Our electricity costs this past winter never went over $80. bucks Canadian, that is around $50. bucks USD.. Temp here inside was in the 25 degree Celsuis and outside was in the minus 15 celsuis... Water freezes at 0C or 32F and room temp is 72F or 20C... Nothing better than watching the stack grow, we has approx. 5 years of firewood stockpiled now and more coming.. A chord costs $150. Can. dollars here, approx $110. USD... It is reasonable priced and we use up to 3 chord a Winter.. Enough for now, keep the great videos coming.. Newfoundland is a cold place to live and the wood heat is welcomed.. Take care....

Nice bed of glowing coals and the blue flames dancing. Wonderful heat. But not all the things that you mentioned comes with coal. You do have to fill it and take out the clinkers. Put that’s about it.

And the bonfire reason, you forgot s'mores, one of the best reasons for a fire!! #11 is that it's environmentally responsible. #12 The firewood chucker will prob still be the hero of any new fairy tales in the future! #13 Some super tax breaks in the firewood business! Couple years , startin' up, I didn't owe any taxes at all!! IRS tried to give ME money! #14 Hangin' out with Chris gives you some idea of how to hang out with the wealthy segment! #15 Again, all by yourself out in the woods, nobody to help, also nobody to gripe about the cabbage and beans you ate the night before!! #16 Lots of exercise climbing on and off the tractor! And more healthy exercise crankin' the steering wheel, brake pedal, and loader handles! - That's about all I can think of that you didn't mention. Oh yeah,#17 You learn patience waiting for the air to clear after you try to pick up that huge round!! You're lucky Kenny isn't making any comments! Prob takin' the Fifth!

I know you and Tony and others have all your cool tools, but I'm on disability and can't afford them. I have a truck, 46cc chainsaw, and a 14 yo splitter. That's it. Can you make a video for people like me? I know I'm not the only one who loves firewood but there's no way I can buy logs. I cut about 12 cords a year, best I can do. Just asking. Have a blessed day.

Hello David, many of my older videos are that exactly. I started with a maul and a truck and after a year or so I bought a box store splitter and grew from there. I will think about how I can make a video about that again, thanks for the idea!

I've watched almost all of your videos, especially the the top 5 or 10, and how to start firewood business. But I'm in a position where I use any profit to maintain what I have. Just interested in your viewpoint and advice. You always have encouraging words.

Might be the way the audio was recorded and your only hearing one side, I am hearing everything.

The audio was recorded in mono (mic problems) so only one side was working, check your balance on your speaker (s).

Yup, that is it! Mono recording.
