I remember an occasion, back in the mid to late 70s whilst working as an apprentice at a Wolverhampton factory, under the tutelage of an experienced mechanic who happened to be a keen Wolves fan and someone who I considered to have a good knowledge of football and judgement of players.. One day the conversation turned towards the rivalry between Wolves and Manchester United during the 1950s. I asked him if he'd ever seen Duncan Edwards play. 'Yes son, I did', he replied. 'Was he as good as they say he was', I asked him. For a moment his gaze turned upwards, as if seeking inspiration for the right words with which to respond. 'Did you ever see Pele play', he questioned. 'Yes sir, I did. He then lowered his gaze, looked me directly in the eye and said only two more words: 'Forget Pele!' Never again was I in any doubt as to just how good Duncan Edwards must have been.
the boy who add it all, very true I'm 66 now,my parents told me of this of Man when growing up,and living in a short distance from old Trafford and from Salford all red obviously, them young lads who lost their lives in pursuing there dreams Duncan edwards and all not just his team mate they were all true friends, they will never die foraver and a day salford reds
A must watch but a deffo for any man united fan and a absolute pleasure knowing the producer keep it going the only way is up #class #r.i.p #dudleysfinest
very emotional this video says it all from mother to son and a footballer who became a legend before his sad death my granda and father seen Duncan play at old Trafford blah blah, they.saud utd ad great players in that team, but Duncan he stood out big time,he was a big loose not just to football,he's mom dad family and friends of his and we forget he was engaged with his girlfriend of that time and her love and happy future together gone in a moment, how life is so fragile,
Tragic wouldhave been capt in 66. Too young to have see him play but my dad did. Forest fan btw but can appreciate grt players from other teams. RIP DUNCAN EDWARDS. Rip busby babes. Rip pele.maradona best cruyff.
Duncan edwards I was born in.1950 my parents told me wat a footballer this man jes I've seen clips of him, blah blah as my mum and dad says when they Wacth him play, jesus no words for all of the Munich sad loss
You don't have to be a United fan to appreciate this brilliant short film, I was three in 1958 and obviously have no recall of the tragic day , but if I have one football wish it would be to see Duncan play
Duncan the great could have been an integral part of englands 66 world cup win & uniteds 68 European Cup triumph plus starred in Mexico 70 alas what might have been!!
Todays Footballers are no way near a match to a Great No The great player as Duncan Edwards. Todays players should take a leaf from Duncan Edwards. I have played in matches with the old heavy footballs back then and I can say it was not easy especially when it rained. How Duncan Edwards could control this type of ball is beyond me. Remember players today run around kicking footballs that are lighter and aerodynamically designed. I would like see them try their ''Fancy Tricks'' with the old balls. Not only that the boots they play in are also specially designed. Along with the Footballs and boots the pitches were also heavy under foot. Would the players be as good as they are if they played in these conditions. I would let you think on that.
Makes me emotional being a united fan.

No words
The greatest player that Dudley has ever produced
94 WBA Maybe the best Europe has ever produced. Going by what people who played with and against him say. Watching old clips he looks unstoppable.
vitusdoom hard to say with how early he unfortunately passed away
