Personally my friend, I kinda wish the music for Tabuu was a little more dramatic because Tabuu can basically Thanos Snap all of reality. And all we got is basically a remix of Boss Battle 1. It's sad.
I like how you die at 80% in smash 4
And don’t die at 250% with high launch in brawl
And now in ultimate, unless if you’re hit by a smash attack or something powerful, you can probably survive at like 200% or more
Tis a blessing and a curse
Brawl is broken for only that reason
In ultimate I die at like 30% I probably just suck

I have a special place in my heart for subspace. Maybe world of light is better in mechanics, but story and cut scenes and story go to subspace no question. Even if world of light is better in every way, subspace was a big part of my childhood.

but anywyas WOL is also good in game mechanics but tbh subspace is just better with the show not tell especially with the character development and everyone just getting together and fighting evil

Taboo is Smash’s Sans. He got his own Ghaster Blasters, he loves to make the stage a bullet hell and they both love glowing blue colors
And become big af, something that Sans cannot do, yet still causing a bad time.

Ultimate needs SOMETHING relates to Subspace with how much of a disappointment World of Light is compared to Subspace Emissary.

ok but you have to admit the boss fights in brawl are way better, and the cut scenes make the adventure way more engaging
I always liked some of these teams that were formed in the story, like Mario and Pit, Fox and Diddy, Pikachu and Samus, Falcon and Olimar, etc. Also I like Subspace and WoL equally. I’m one of the rare few.

Also, Captain Falcon could lift the ROB because it wasn't attached to a Subspace Bomb, once they're attached, they're stuck for good. That's why DK couldn't get it off.

I think it went quite well.
GAMEPLAY wise, world of light is better. But the reason why we wanted a storymode like the subspace emissary is for the CHARACTER INTERACTION.
So the way of spirit battles thats not exclusive to the story mode of that game = better gameplay than subspace?.Wtf

I feel like Nintendo hasn't done a proper story mode because brawl was panned for including it when it released, rather than "cutscenes being shared on the internet"

Man, do I wish that Ultimate had a mode that was just as good, if not better, than Subspace Emissary. I loved that mode in Brawl.
I remember doing this with just the wiimote as a kid a few years back. I did beat it eventually, but I'm sure glad these wiimotes are durable.

I like Subspace because of the story, particularly the cinematics. And THAT intro is epic. That being said, seeing the platforming after so many years yeahhh. WoL with Supspace's story/cutscenes would've just been *chef's kiss*
Platforming in Smash isn't perfect, but it could've been improved upon if Smash4 didn't just ditch Adventure Mode entirely. And honestly, I'd prefer some good yet flawed platforming in my Adventure Mode over......... just making it be Spirit Board with a map. Seriously, what was the point? Why remove the one gameplay element that made Adventure stand out in the first place and act as if beating another playable character on a stage isn't what already makes up 90% of Smash's gameplay? This is made all the worse when you consider that Ultimate doesn't even have a Target mini-game, and Home Run Contest only got added in post-release. When the original N64 game has more variety than Ultimate, that's a problem.
@YamatoFukkatsu setting the bar low there saying the original has more content. Much like the original has more replay value with its content. In other words, it has more quality as ultimate has the quantity.

Honstley, I would say world of light was better if it had Co-op. A more interesting story would've also been nice but the lack of 2 player co-op at the least killed the Mode for me.
Everyone's talking about the Zero Suit and Snake ass nerfs, but no one's talking about how Falcon's ass has just gotten better.

Yeeeaaah, sorry. World of Light is great, but Subspace Emissary is my favorite. It DOES have some weirdly difficult sections, but I think platforming can work really well in a platform fighter, especially since the game's controls feel tighter than ever. Mix the story and some platforming from Subspace with some of the battle conditions from World of Light and let us play it with our friends, and I think you have the making of the best solo/adventure mode in Smash yet!

Dude! I remember beating Subspace on intense solo and getting all the trophies and alt trophies. I'm surprised my Wii wasn't smashed into pieces after that but it's something I'll always be proud of

Sub space haunts me for one reason. Me and my older brother use to play it a ton. We were at the end of the game, but then my parents decided to sell our wii. I had true gamer depression. I never got to see my favorite characters on the cliff seeing the sunset

I had this game for the Wii, but always got stuck on one of the plat forming levels early on, so I eventually gave up and got rid of it. Cool to finally see the rest of the game!
World of Light has 6 cutscenes and only one has the characters World of Light becomes SUPER easy when you unlock the greatzapfish spirit and the fights are like 15 seconds not even the final boss is that hard All it is is walking around finding characters and fight them repeat that for another 50 hours until you finish

They needed a way to find the answer, and could count on each other for good. They wanted to do their best, to not let each other down, they were up to the test, and turned the Subspace Emissary around.

Anyone else like to imagine that lore wise what happened is that the squad pieced up Tabuu got spawned on that cliff only for backup in the form of all the new playable characters in ultimate to arrive just for Galeem to instantly pull up and run all their fades at once with negative difficulty.
I remember I got to the boss rush and thought my game had broke and I was being forced to replay the entire game so I couldn’t be bothered fighting Petey and closed the game forever
