Made some good progress on the "Funny Car" part of the roll cage in my Cutlass this week! It may not look like it takes a long time because of how short these videos are, but there is a ton of time in fitting these bars and welding them in!

LOL Yeah I'm one of them who watches from start to end and even back it up to re-watch a few parts.... What you might do some time is clear the shop out of all long term projects, and have a 1999 sale day! I've done it a few times over the past 25 years with my shop. "We're gonna work like it's 1999!" I took labor prices back down to $42.50 an hour, sold what parts I could at cost or just above and told everyone it was first come first serve. The lines at my shop were mind blowing! For a 12 hour day! Was one hell of a fund raiser believe it or not! It really boosted the shop when the work load was mediocre and money got tight. I even gained a few more long term jobs and gained many more customers almost every time. My partner, got PISSED at me several times because I didn't sell a single t-shirt... I gave every last one of them away! T-shirts are walking talking billboards that cost only a fraction of a newspaper ad!

My oldest brother had an automotive place that developed a customer base of high-end automotive enthusiast / owners. What a different automotive experience with these type of customers. Example: One customer needed a replacement starter, only one found was about 300 miles away. The vehicle owner said, meet me at the close by airport, we will fly out to pick up that part. He was back at his shop by 9-AM with the needed starter.

if you give something for watching to the end many will just fast forward to the end to see what it is.
I have learnt so much watching your builds if I ever build another car it will save me so much time and be so much better. my simple (by comparison) car took nearly 6 years part time. the rewiring ( several times) suspension modifications, motor and gearbox builds and engine mount modifications, upgrades that you find that are cheap so you cannot not buy them and the many fiddly little bits. And this was a stock bodied car.

Gotta love the Cutlass updates! Don't forget, Kevin, you've got to take some time for yourself and recharge. As much as I love the KSR videos, your health is more important. As for a name for those of us who stay through the whole video, I couldn't say beyond true blue KSR fans. We're usually the ones who click as soon as we see a new video posted. Not staying through to the end is just foolishness in my opinion. So much information in each video, one shouldn't miss out.

To listen about your knowledge is awesome!!
To notch pipe, have done lots of pipe work but your words about a curved tube.... thank you. & with a fire extinguisher, how a helmet goes 1/3.
💯. BTW, any tubing work is hours. A welders eyes sight is seen & understanding work, like hands down work. Your time.... is amazing.
To be in career of welding, some days its not whats show but what was seen. Your weld job was mint(junping), that structure is how it was fit.
Thank you. Your work is mint. 👍

We are like the long haulers in power tour... The cage is looking good. Can't wait to see what all you do differently from Val's car to yours. And what's next for Soccer Mom...
