Thanks for sharing...I finished my AC treatments and had my 1st Taxol infusion yesterday (3 more to go, every 2 weeks). I know chemo affects everyone differently. I literally lost all of my hair after my 2nd AC treatment (it stated coming out after my 1st). The worst side affect for me during that time was the bone aches....I’m hoping that won’t happen during the Taxol. The Benadryl definitely made me sleepy yesterday, but this morning, so far, I feel fine....now it’s just a waiting game to see what happens next. I’ve been keeping a very positive outlook throughout my treatments and have even embraced my bald head. I refuse to give cancer any negative attention. I applaud everyone who is in this fight and no one fights alone!!
This is such a helpful video. I have 7 cycles down. I can’t sit or relax at all because my kids and husband are all at home because of covid. I actually want to shave my hair off to remind people that I need help. They all forget that I may have had 6 diarrhea bouts that day and I can’t feel my toes because of the neuropathy. I’m sick of it
Hi Kristy! I just wanted to say Hi. I just finished Taxol. Woot Woot. After 4 A/C and 12 Taxol. 22 weeks in all. Looking forward to celebrating with a trip once I get the ok from my Dr. Yeah A/C was not fun, but Taxol isn't as bad -- well in comparison, right? Anyway, all the best to you. You will make it thru. I love what you said in your opening. I'll share a quote that has helped me "Do not allow the future to trouble your mind" by Marcus Aurelius. Hugs. Tara :)
thank u Tara also...I'm on a c as well my second session is tommorow ...I was dreading taxol...Lisening to Kristy and you..imma be ok....Any advice from u ladies before I start taxol? A c had me in hospital
Thank you so much! I am sending you my loving thought and healing energy to get through chemo! You can do it! you are stronger than you know and God is with you!
Your skin looks beautiful. You can look at the peeling skin like you'd have chemical peel and the beautiful fresh is underneath and it's glowing. The bald head looks good on you because you have a very bone structure and features. I was on carboplatin and paclitaxol the first round and I reacted badly to taxol so it got taken out. Now only on carbo, which I can handle okay. It's been 3 weekly. Just had my 6th and final for this year. My Ca 125 has gone down to 335 from well over 2000 with 5 treatments so far. Today was my 6th. I love my head as SO easy. No hat hair nor bed hair😂. Shower and it's dry within couple of minutes. Hair growing back slowly as no more taxol, nor numbness of my finger tips, nor mouth sores or thrush and no PAIN! Am very grateful 🙏.
Thank you for the video!! It helps to know I'm not the only one going through this. I know others are going through it, but its different when you hear someone else talking about it.
Thank you for the guidance. This is so scary. I start Chemo tomorrow. I appreciate your candor. I think I am prepared with my goody bag to take with me.
you're absolutely so very welcome you can do this there is a light at the end of the tunnel it may not feel like it when you're going through it but there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Don't forget to ice your hands and feet to prevent neuropathy
On my second Docetaxel four more to go , the steroids keep me wide awake too, losing my hair already , dry mouth for me too :) hair will come back :) x
Thank u 4 sharing..Your helping me...I have stage 2 breast cancer.. Tommorow is my 2nd infusion of A C....I go every 3 weeks..but in September I go weekly for Taxol..
Stay strong sister ❤🤗 Eventually life will come back to you. It may never be the same but you will eventually start to feel a little better. Dont forget to ice your hands & feet during taxol. It helped me tremendously!
I often think and feel that chemo is fake. I know it's real, but I'm skeptical about the chemo itself. How do I know that the chemo is doing to me what I'm told that it's doing? How do I know that, perhaps even years into my future, I won't discover that something has made me worse instead of better? I know... life has no guarantees. I guess I just have to grow a pair, eh?

Well..you can have a comprehensive diagnostic with FISH and Genomic Assay to see if you need one...

Taxol caused extreme dryness that its bpund blowing pain to have needles inserted. Plus i have sjrogens
Thank you
How many rounds of taxol do you have to have , I'm into round 3 of 4 of AC and then I have to have 12 taxols once a week for 12 weeks
Are you ok?
thank you for sharing. You are so beautiful
Why you didn't use the cold cap? Thank you
That has no guarantee and is terribly uncomfortable. Not proven. Not worth the cost.
Insurance doesn't cover the cost, and there's no guarantee it will work. Hair will grow back. I don't want the cancer to grow back.
Hello beautiful
I barely had nausea
