To be fair if you go to shows for bands roughly in this vein in venues like this it’s not far from this vibe, most bands are just not as insanely captivating as mis sigs
Dude, thanks! I'm getting goosebumps the same way I did when I first heard Of Malice back then. This video and the music is still as important as ever.
0:00 "A Victim, A Target" 1:03 "The Year Summer Ended in June" 5:20 "Murder" 10:16 "In Summary of What I Am" 14:41 "Difference of Vengeance and Wrongs" 20:31 "The Stinging Rain 26:00 "Worlds & Dreams" 28:07 "Arcadia Fades" (7 Angels 7 Plagues cover) 32:45 "Like Yesterday" encore 38:25 "Lie Captive" - very cool video, one of the best misery signals sets I've seen from this time period on youtube!
Murder is such an underrated song and I wish they'd play it again, I dont know much videos of it existing. Also, Stu Ross with a single cut Les Paul style LTD! Tons of fingerprints and hand marks on the finish showing it was put to good use. AAANYWAY, this is pretty much one of the best MS videos ever captured. So much youthful energy and the songs still were fairly fresh at the time. And this is at Yesterday Was Everything Fest, Thanks dude!
Listen to Meshuggah in 1995 or Botch in 2000, this is one of the greatest albums / bands of all time but heavy metal/hardcore music being melodic and complex wasn’t new in ‘04, it’s just almost never been done this well.
@@2000Doriyas I’m a fan of both, and don’t believe MS sounds or writes like either. A few parallels sure, but influence and overall song structures are vastly different. Meshuggah from the other two entirely.
I appreciate this a ton, man. A buddy and I are from the city and missed out on this era of shows / Misery Signals but heard a lot about it from his brother and one of our teachers in Jr. High. It's pretty crazy to see what it was actually like live
My pleasure! It was pretty bananas. This video LOOKS insane, but it doesn’t really capture the sheer volume of the wall of sound that is Misery Signals. I’ve seen them probably 5 or 6 times and it shocked me how intense they were every. single. time.
This was my first Misery Signals show and I was just at their final one ever. 20 years apart. Still just killing it. Forever grateful for this band.
Shows just ain’t like they used to be. The energy is insane here. I love seeing everyone in the moment rather than capturing it

This is amazing quality for a metalcore show from 2004. So cool! Best band ever
Amazing era of metal

Finally a video of Different of Vengeance and Wrong being performed with the clean vocalist.
Byron J Elis has an amazing voice on that song

Ha, I literally got goosebumps at the end of Difference of Vengeance and Wrongs too. Took me back 20 years. Thanks OP!
One of my all time fav albums…front to back is still amazing almost 20 years later

Band was ahead of their time.
