Listening, May 2020. Reminiscing of when I first heard this song, winter 2011-2012, working grave-yard security on the college campus while taking full credits in the day, Sleeping maybe 3 times a week. Life was a mess, everything misunderstood, making me out to be the person I hated, losing friends left and right. Linkin Park gave words to my pain, helped me realize though I'm often cast aside by those around and left on my own, LP was there to help me know I was not alone. They felt it, millions of fans felt the same. Linkin Park brought that together. I'm healed now, stronger and wiser. There is hope. My heart melts for all who may still be where I was.
This has got to be the oldest of their pre-LP songs that has the best flow and polish where everything fits nicely and doesn't distract but rather makes for a brilliant listening experience. It should have been on their debut album.

Love LP's music, also glad that they have moved on from continually remixing the same songs. I Enjoyed many of the remixes but it is great to hear new original stuff from them as well. I think that right now LP is on a trip to find themselves right now... they have always had a unique sound and i think that they want to continue that feel but with all the other bands that they inspired and spawned so close to their style they need a change. So we their loyal fans will wait with bated breath to see what emerges from there chrysalis of creativity.
I have to disagree with on this a lot. Nothing they have done after Meteora is nearly as creative, original, and unique. It's rather generic, especially their new single, which is merely just a carbon copy of plug and chug contemporary R&B pop songs. No offense, but I don't see the point in anything you said.

This has got to be the oldest of their pre-LP songs that has the best flow and polish where everything fits nicely and doesn't distract but rather makes for a brilliant listening experience.
It should have been on their debut album.
I'm sure there are many interpretations as to this song's meaning (all of which are correct imo), but to me it'll always be about self-harm. Made a playlist full of music like this and listening to it always helps me resist the urge to go back to that shit. Means a lot to me...

Love LP's music, also glad that they have moved on from continually remixing the same songs. I Enjoyed many of the remixes but it is great to hear new original stuff from them as well. I think that right now LP is on a trip to find themselves right now... they have always had a unique sound and i think that they want to continue that feel but with all the other bands that they inspired and spawned so close to their style they need a change. So we their loyal fans will wait with bated breath to see what emerges from there chrysalis of creativity.
I have to disagree with on this a lot. Nothing they have done after Meteora is nearly as creative, original, and unique. It's rather generic, especially their new single, which is merely just a carbon copy of plug and chug contemporary R&B pop songs. No offense, but I don't see the point in anything you said.

kitti is right the change in the sound is what creates dynamic differences and keeps most people listening...granted some of their older stuff was better but thats cuz on minutes to midnight chester does some songs by himself and he isnt that kind of artist he has to have someone else doing vocals in the song to make him sound good which is why the older stuff may sound better to you

@Cycles28 totally agree man, plus it keeps their live shows fresh as well, rather than always playing the same songs everytime. I remember they used to do high voltage and and one, bloody awesome stuff. I would love to see them perform this live.
