Sapranno rispondere in pochi.
The Leopard is my all-time favorite movie. Burt Lancaster gives one of his best performances as a 19th Century Italian aristocrat adapting to a world that is changing around him. Alain Delon, Claudia Cardinale and the supporting cast are all superb. Luchino Viscounti weaves an elegant tapestry enhanced by one of the best musical scores ever composed for a film. This is not a film for everybody, but for those with a sense of history and an appreciation of the subtleties of quality moviemaking, it is a masterpiece.

Heart stopping from those opening credits - and the beginning, those curtains gently billowing in the southern breezes. The splendid avenue shot with the ladies with parasols on the terrace. The funny, poignant sometimes heartbreaking ball scene. What a film!!!
I do agree.Visconti was a genius, a director capable, with the help of the maestro production designer Mario Garbuglia, to rebuild astonishing scenes. Here in Italy at the School of cinematography there is a story about the scenes shooted in the villa: Visconti asked Mario Garbuglia, even though he knew they would not appear on camera, that the handkerchiefs and the linens placed in the drawers used in scenes had to perfectly match the style of the era that the movie was set in. Some critics said Visconti was obsessed about excessive research into the minute details of scenography, furnishings, and costumes. Visconti replied "I believe you can never research enough.” What a director!
Starring Burt Lancaster, Claudia Cardinale and a young Terence Hill "The Leopard" was an instant hit and is today remembered as one of the great cinematic masterpieces. Luchino Visconti did an outstanding job in directing and very interestingly asked Nino Rota to use much music of one of the composers - then - unreleased symphonies. And that is what we get: A real symphonic, almost operatic Italian score. I remember some months ago somebody requested this grand music. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the album in my collection and told the person so. But I added that I had the feeling, that it probably will come out expanded on CD soon, as many Rota scores did during the last year. And guess what? A month after that conversation The Leopard received its expanded release from which we now can hear excellent excerpts. I hope you enjoy it!
Ah thank you for uploading! The reason I requested it was because I couldn't find an adequate version on RUclips or Amazon Music but thanks to you I no longer need to worry

Hello David, I fully understand you but unfortunately I can't do ANYTHING about it. It's not my music, the rights belong to others and they (with help of RUclips's own Content-ID system) decide where and how many ads are being placed in a video. My only options are keeping the video online or offline... I am so sorry for you being unhappy with that (as me as well). I recommend you an Adblocker for your browser to avoid this annoyance. Best anyways! Fred
Hello J., this are the actual film version-tracks, indeed. Released earlier this year by Quartet Records. The original album versions are to find on the second disc of that great release.

Immensi.

What a film composer! Thank you Fred.
I would listen to anything he ever wrote and be in musical heaven because of it.
This work is a climax in the truest sense of the word. Grazie molto, Maestro Rota!

It is a young Alain Delon and not Terence Hill :)
@@eviskaraj3101 FWIW a young Terence Hill does appear, under his birth name of Mario Girotti, as Tancredi's friend Count Cavriaghi.
How come you forgot Alain Delon? His role is very important in the movie. He is Tancredi!
One could easily make a ballet out of this really programmatic symphony!
