Yes, also the Tires also affect stability, you need a very wide Wheel base, size of tires do not matter, as Long as your wheel base is as wide as possible, then always means better handling, some of the Tires are F1R3 Retro Tires, Union Jack Tires & Wo Lun Tires, those have wider wheel bases so they improve your handling, this widebody & tires thing has been up since The Crew 2
Thanks for taking the time to look into this and putting up the video. It's one thing to say something is so, another thing to give evidence for it, so thanks! I've spent the last hour running the Mazda RX-3 around the blue track in the Motorfest grounds, alternating between stock, and with the widest of the two bumper kits available. There is a definite difference between the two - without the widebody the car is more prone to bite in at the corners, and either oversteer or go unstable. With the widebody, everything is a lot smoother, a little under-steery if anything. Like the Camero, when you swap the parts, the RX-3 sits at a different height, and the car wobbles about a bit - it's not like the wheels just go further out, something's going on either with the suspension or the weight
If I remember correctly, smooth sctrecthed tires give the widest tires of vanity sets in Crew 2 so that might be a good place to start for testing in Motorfest.
True for Crew 2, but the smooth stretched tires are no longer the widest in Motorfest. There's about 10 vanity tires that can be imported from the Crew 2 which are wider (French touch, Union Jack, F1R3 Retro etc.) and 1 from a summit in Motorfest (i think) - Spearhog Semi slick. Easiest way to check which tires affect wheelbase - grab an Alpha GP car and note which tire moves the axle out the furthest.
Yes I have definitely noticed a difference with wide body kits although I have not tested this thoroughly I noticed an immediate improvement in the cars handling, being able to grip and take corners better. I remember this coming up in handling dynamics in NFS Unbound and in that case had absolutely no effect on handling but here, without a shadow of doubt it does!
It is true, just like in the Crew 2 a wide body kit gives more grip and stability to the cars =less body roll due to wider wheel stance. Plus certain vanity tires give aditional wider wheel stance. In the crew 2 smooth stretched tires used to be the best. In motorfest there's better tires than smooth s. Example. Pure gold tire, Neon green tire (in this week shop as bundle) french tire, wo lun tire...
Related info: Every week in the TC2 summit, if a race is substantially DIFFERENT from the one available in FREEROAM (such as a HEAVY STORM in a RALLY RAID event) I run ALL the vehicles in that class in said event as it's only available for 1 week and gets all the "GARAGE CARS" out for a spin. I just got done running ALL the Touring car spec vehicles against the Alpha GP cars on the USST NEXT "Great Equalizer" track in this week's COMBO EVENT (Without TUNES). The only car I could not WIN the event with was the CADILLAC ESCALADE. Even though it comes standard with a WIDEBODY KIT, the handling was so atrocious that a SECOND PLACE was all I could muster. I found Akor's TUNE for it and it was no better on this quick track (perhaps WORSE). I modified his tune and was able to win the event (just barely) in a back and forth, squirrely dogfight worth about 44,000 Summit points. I then decided to try equipping it with the F1R3 Retro Tire. What a difference! Although the caddy was not instantly META material, it's HANDLING improved so dramatically that I got out in front on lap 1 and never looked back garnering a Summit score of about 64,000 ( a gain of several seconds and 20,000 Summit points). This tire thing really DOES work doesn't it?! 🤩
I have used a variety of tires so far and it seems like the slick vanity tires make your car accelerate faster at the sacrifice of your grip in low gears and when going off road.
not even new that widebody and wider tires effecting the handling this was even confirmed with tc2 season 3 from ivt and motorfest basicly build up on tc2 because it was developed as dlc for tc2 you can even see by testing it with teh atlantic that even tires are not all the same and so the golden rule still counts the wider the better
on the topic of vanity tires...i'm not sure which one is even better - thinner tires with wider track width, or thicker tires with less track width. but there probably is an effect compared to normal tires anyways, albeit likely not as big as when putting on a widebody.
I remember seeing somebody say to wide body a car in a tune if video and I thought for sure it was bs, especially because he didn’t actually prove it, though it looks like I was probably wrong then. Another thing to test might be wings, I have a friend who tried out the koenigsegg one:1 and he said that putting the jesko wing on it improved the breaking. I thought it was probably just placebo but if wide bodies change performance, it only follows that wings probably do too.
Good stuff as always Trigger.👍🏼💯I could tell the difference when cars are equipped with wide body kits but i didn't notice a difference with tires. It would be nice to get an answer from Ivory Tower on this... got any connections over there?
I would love to buy one of your T-shirts but unfortunately I'm a 54yr old Industrial Goth and ony ever wear black, please make a black shirt with a blue design?! 😎
Can you also test car behaviour with and without rear spoiler? In TC2 I had suspicion with my Koenigsegg CCR - after installing spoiler it feeled more grippy
Its not a grip thing, its a side effect of the physics calculations the devs use for the suspension. Its actually dead simple, wider wheel distance means less roll so more stability. This is an answer i got from a dev when i asked. Kinda unintended because they didnt want cosmetic parts to affect handling, but its completely logical from a physics standpoint. Stuff like bumpers and wings should have no effect but by all means dont take my word for it.
Hey Trigger, I'm a subscriber and love your analytical videos. I find the summit guides especially useful, with the Simgii cuts! Keep up the good work.. 👍
I also wish that you would reply to your RUclips comments.. I ask again.. Have you tried altering the final drive with any of your tunes? I have noticed that I can increase a cars acceleration by slightly adjusting this without it affecting the top speed. And also doing the same with power distribution for 4WD Cars.
Comments are tough to keep up with sorry. My DM on IG, Twitter or Discord is the best place if you want an answer 100% if the time. Yes I’ve played with Final drive however so far in 99% of the cases (that I’ve tested) the top speed you sacrifice is not worth the extra acceleration specifically for the grand races.
Not that it should have any effect based on what people know. But to do an exact comparison you should have only put on the wide body pieces and no other upgrade parts, whether they were vanity or otherwise. I'm talking specifically about the rear wing, which everyone says doesn't matter. But you did add it and so for accurate testing you're not doing a proper comparison. For accurate scientific testing you only change one variable between tests.
i already tould U this in one of U're early vids this was true in TC2 already and no different in MF for the best grip U need to install the wide fenders on everything that has that option even if they sometimes just ruin the look o/t car ^^ btw: the vanity tires do not affect handling
Well, yes. Why do you think most TCR Cars have widebody kits. Another thing is that the C8 in FH5 handles better with a widebody kit, so does the Zl1 with its Street Fighter LA bodykit. XD
Bro, I tried the bmw liberty walk edition in a grand race to get the Worldwide tuner title, I was in 4th and the person behind me had a 993, Both of us were at max speed but he couldn't overtake me, That gives me a feeling that it might be in the conversation of being meta. What do u think?
Yup. The widebody does influence the grip and and accelaration. I have tested it long time ago on Porsche 993. Just try to put wider front fender and dont change the back one :) U gonna see what U get - garbage vehicle. WHich is actually pretty funny. I`m having a feeling that offroad tyres do make a diffrence as well - but that I cannot confirm 100% .
This needs to be changed...yes sure it might b semi realistic. Wide body means widee tires can fit. But. Putting a widebody on a classic car is just criminal
@MilitiaGamingCommunity this makes alot of the reasons I couldn't relate to some pro settings I've seen make more sense they always are customized and I'm always vanilla

Source? Did you test it? Any scientific proof or just “feel” for the vanities?
@@Austin-l1jAkor tested that, go to his videos is about 33rd video

The brit tires also ...

Oh snap! I thought it was purely cosmetic but I still do it on just about all my vehicles anyway.
Good info brother, thanks!
This exists since TC2 and its a simple rule!
The wider, the better!
🙃
Cant wait for the Haru GTR Widebody in december. I hope it goes for meta. 🙌🏻
I have used a variety of tires so far and it seems like the slick vanity tires make your car accelerate faster at the sacrifice of your grip in low gears and when going off road.
This same thing also applied in TC2, I didn't play TC1 so I can't confirm that though. Wider is better in The Crew, definitively.

Good idea. I might DM him about this. Do you care if I do so? I'll just send him a screenshot of this
I would love to however the process we use for printing the shirts does not work on black. The design has to be darker than the shirt color.
Well that's unfortunate. Not a fan of rice-ing out my cars and prefer a close to stock look. Hope this is just a bug that can be fixed.
I think it should be addressed. You should be able to make the cars look how you want without sacrificing performance.
It works for the Eb110 ngl but personally i prefer run mine without the wide body im not really good but i noticed there is a difference
Can you also test car behaviour with and without rear spoiler? In TC2 I had suspicion with my Koenigsegg CCR - after installing spoiler it feeled more grippy

I have the exact same thing with the new Ferrari Tier 1
So with the porsche 911(993), does the widebody also effects the car?

Yea in Nfs some wide body car have difference on handling like on Volvo 242

No
