Hey sheriff Joe Wampler...what's more traumatic for the family, seeing his blood on the bed or not getting justice and you not finding his killer? Complete misconduct and extremely shady. What a joke.
@@valentinefrancisco3381 I think both he and Don did it. Sheriff was the mastermind and Don was the hitman. Because why would he ask Don, of all people, to burn the bed and not get his officers to do it? And why would Don not question and/or refuse to do it? Not to mention, Don knew where Eric lived and he knew where he kept the spare key.

Man, what a heart Sherriff Joe Wampler had. I wish our law enforcement agencies had more people like him that decide to go against all regulations to appease a family’s grief. What a guy.
i think don dixon killed eric. He found the body after being contacted by Eric's friends worried about his whereabouts (Was this corroborated? What friends? It seems Eric's friends weren't aware of any significant relationship btwn Dixon and Eric) He had a key to the house despite not being known to have anything but a business relationship (could he have swiped a key from the house after the shooting?). In the UM segment it is Dixon who burned the mattress, albeit under Wampler's instruction. (makes me wonder if Dixon initially suggested it to Wampler in a round about way) He phones Eric's sister(what?!) to inform her of her brother's death and tells her there were "no exit wounds". (double what?!) Claims he checked the body for bullet holes because he feared Eric was "suicidal". After the 3 bullets are found, he starts telling otherwise unsubstantiated tales of "Eric said..." in order to throw suspicion on Wampler and Smith. His line at the end of the segment "The only ones I know who didn't do it are my wife and myself" (What?! Your wife? Who's talking about your wife?) It seems to me that Dixon tried to insert himself into Eric Tamiyasu's life (unrequited love? some unhealthy hero worship/obsession) and snapped when he got rebuffed. He then inserted himself into the investigation and tried to not only lead suspicion away from himself but also to create this fantasy narrative where he and Eric were the best of buds.
Oh! I had no idea Heather was from Buffalo, NY! I was just reading an article about her and it didn't mention it, I kinda figured though becuase we have a lot of tallchiefs in the area
@jknephew I agree…and in the interview he said “I loved Nikki” past tense…she was still missing at the time of the interview. Why past tense Bobby??? While she was missing you fell out of love with her or is it “past tense” because you know that she’s not alive anymore??!!??
The case about Eric two main suspects is blatantly obvious Don Dixon: he had been called by Eric's friends who were concerned, even though it's mentioned that very few knew Don had a connection to him. He had a key to the house despite only having a business relationship with him. He knew the layout of the house, he burnt the bed without much questioning, and Eric's sister mentioned that Don had mentioned possible bullet wounds even through the CS photographers and police didn't notice bullet wounds till after the courner had inspected his body three days after. And during the interview, I noticed the corners of is mouth slightly moved upward which is often referred to a a duping smile it's concealed but just noticable, plus Don also had more to say especially about the second suspect Smith. Also why did he mention his wife as not being one of the killers, no one mentioned his wife. Or The sheriff, he had an understandable motive and said to burn the mattress even though procedure would be to keep everything where it was, till it was determined if it was foul play or not. Also he smiled when he said he didn't kill eric, who smiles when accused of something like that, especially a cop.
Great episode from this classic show! The late great Robert Stack was the best! Is it just me or does the photo of Roberto Soliz look spooky at the end of the segment!?
I don't see how the laundry being in the SUV alone ruled out abduction. What better time for someone to strike than when Niqui had her back turned as she put the basket into the vehicle. She could've been followed and abducted later as well.
🤔🤔Do you think her husband Bobby webster had something to do with it why would he postponed the wedding his story isn't adding up to me than he tries to sell her ring too many unanswered questions about her disappearance hopefully there's a new lead in this baffling case 🤔🤔

I mean usually if I were to find someone dead in there bed, I wouldn’t assume off the jump it’s suicide, I’d assume it’s natural like a heart attack a stroke, something else, nor would I really wanna examine the body, id wanna get law enforcement out there and call the family of the deceased, i think Don and potentially the sheriff were in cahoots in some way. Don just gives me off stalker vibes like he thinks Eric is his best friend, but from what Eric Smith said Eric specifically said Don was just someone he bought spray from and that Eric’s friends don’t know who is he, it kind of gives me the vibe maybe Eric told Don to like back off or they had a fight of some kind, maybe Eric told Don they aren’t friends and he kinda went off. Eric Smith to me didn’t do it, I feel personally that Don and the Sheriff did it, whether they personally did the murder is unknown. Just to me knowing in there was a scandal that the Sheriffs wife was having an affair with Eric Tamiyasu then he ends up murdered and the Sheriff himself wants evidence to be destroyed critical evidence mind you, I’m not a police officer or anything but I always thought I heard everything in a crime scene is potential evidence, so for him to want to destroy it was suspicious, before running a full investigation.
