    Thank you to our friends at IAmsterdam for giving us these free 72hr city cards for us to enjoy and share our experience :) Below you can find more info about the city card:
    www.iamsterdam.com
    24hrs - €65
    48hrs - €85
    72hrs - €105
    And they include access to museums, public transportation (bus, metro, tram), bike rental, canal cruise, plus discounts to some restaurants :)

    Yes, IAmsterdam is perhaps the most convenient and relevant option for short-term tourists, but as you are there for sometime, I think you should get a Museumkaart as that offers much better value for those staying longer in Amesterdam. Of course, Museumkaart is not just for Amsterdam, but all of The Netherlands and you can explore them at your own pace as it is valid for a year.

    Hi, I liked the quiet Jazz background music and the times when there was no background sounds.
    I was left with a lot of questions, ladies I could have done with more details. What IS that swing thing?

      Thank you! Oh it’s called the A’DAM Lookout! There’s a swing on the edge of the building. It’s quite thrilling :)

    Can you book in advance without the Iamsterdam card and buy it when you arrive? because for me that is the difficult part, a lot of things are always full and if you only buy the 24hr card its difficult to book and visit the same day.

    • @TheTravellingFoxes
      @TheTravellingFoxes  3 года назад +1

      Sure! You can just select in the booking “I have an IAmsterdam card”. Typically some big museums have this option and you don’t have to pay. Just make sure to bring the card with you when you visit the museum!

    • @DanteeArias1
      @DanteeArias1 3 года назад +2

      I just got my card and you can use the order number in your email to book in advance. Otherwise, some museums have a "Iamsterdam card" ticket option you select.

    Hello.. I have a few questions..
    1. Can 1 card be used by multiple people and it is never tagged to an individual?
    2. Canal Cruise is actually from a fixed source to destination on how is that?
    3. Can we book our slot to visit different places from the app itself?
    4. Going to Zaanse Schans will be covered with this card or we might need to take Regional travel ticket?
    5. How can we use the discounts provided with this card? for ex. If I want to visit Heineken experience, how can I use this card and get the discount?

    • @TheTravellingFoxes
      @TheTravellingFoxes  Год назад +2

      Hi there! 1 card is good for 1 person. Canal cruise has a fixed start and end destination. Sometimes you can book slots from the app itself, some you have to go to the actual website. Travel to Zaanse Schans is not included in the iAmsterdam City Card, you need the Regional Travel ticket. And you can get the discounts when you present the card :)

    Hi,
    I have a question, i will visit amsterdam in december. I'm planning to buy this card but i have watched couple of videos and they were saying all tickets were sold out at least for 2 weeks to van gogh museum. If i buy this card, i will not buy online ticket for other museums. How am i supposed to enter there? At least they can be full for 2 hours and i have to wait maybe. Is there any pre-registration with Iamsterdam card for museums?

    I'm coming to Amsterdam from England in a few weeks time and I'm staying for 6 nights. I will arrive into Schiphol Airport on Saturday 22nd July. I'm staying in a Hotel in Zaandam. I want to know does this 3 day travel pass cover the train from Schiphol Airport to Zaandam or will I have to pay a single fare from the Airport to Zaandam. I will most likely just stay in Zaandam on the Saturday evening and have a look around. I will travel into Amsterdam all the other days that I'm there.

    Sitting in a tram after wasting almost ten euros on buses because the card isn't accepted. This company should have advertised better that the card is NOT accepted on a fair amount of buses around the city. DO NOT take this card if it's your first time in Amsterdam.

    • @TheTravellingFoxes
      @TheTravellingFoxes  2 года назад +1

      Hello! The card is accepted in all public transportation (GVB) in Amsterdam only. What kind of buses did you use? Perhaps you went outside of the city...

    • @funkygenesis
      @funkygenesis 2 года назад

      @@TheTravellingFoxes Hi! Yes it is applicable on GVB so that means buses in blue. Confusion arose, I think, when we could take a certain bus that was considered "blue" but was painted red. We then tried to take another bus in red but were refused service on the card. Anyways to be safe take the trams around the city as almost all of them are accessible via the card. Also we were staying near the airport so not exactly in the city centre.
