Maurin O Hara, with her devastatingly beautiful looks, performed a stellar role, though Keith's tongue-in-cheek acting combined with his wistful eyes, carried out the required sombreness the theme needed. Nothing compared to the likes of "Straw Dogs"! The American Wild West is truly filmed.
She was the best.
I don't know but theses old actresses just have this beautiful looks that I can't find nowadays..must be the time frame or what
Maureen O'Hara was an opera singer and the best of the dramatic and western actresses ever. Great to see this movie again.
She has a natural beauty most don't
Brian Keith is a Legend.
He stayed busy right up until his death in his acting career.
Keith was in "Nevada Smith" with Steve McQueen! (Great western!)
beauty and guts, she had it all including a voice, total package in a woman, outstanding cast, old sam knew how to make a movie worth watching, this is my second time seeing it,thank you for the upload Grjngo
Comments have already said it all about this Fantastic Movie. From start to finish the great actors make you believe, worth several watches!!! ❤🎉😊
I love watching old movies and this one was good
A powerfully good movie about the redemption of broken souls in the gritty west. Thanks for sharing.
Maureen O'Hara - great actress, rides so well! Thank you for this
Slower than some like but actually worth it. More a character study than western action.
Maureen O' Hara, her brother Charles B. Fitzsimons (the film's producer) and writer A.S. Fleischman formed Carousel Productions in order to get the film made.
I remember watching this movie when I was young. We had this on the DVD with a quiz about the movie in the start menu. It's so relaxing to watch.
Anything with Brian Kieth is going to be great!
Same with Ms. O'hara. 💖
This one didn't really grab me, although they are mighty fine actors,i'm loving this channel, thanks for all you do!
Brian Keith was in a half hour series 'The Westerner', created by Sam Peckinpah. Only lasted 13 episodes, but its a great show. Very dark, well written, and full of action. This one s a great movie guys 👍
Loved Brian Keith since Family Affair! Definitely will search for that series. TY for sharing!
Never had seen this one but the cast caught my attention - gorgeous Maureen O’Hara & Brian Keith - omG Parent Trap is an absolute favorite movie bc of their adorable chemistry! Then right away i see “Drago” aka Chill Wills - another favorite … then as the cast is scrolling i notice my #1 all time favorite: Strother Martin!! lol three minutes in and already
in ❤️! Haven’t been excited ab a movie in a long time! Wish me luck! 🤞🏻🤟🏼
Great movie. Very old too. Thoroughly enjoyable. It
Compare these actors to today’s actors, today’s come across as amateurs compared to this cast.
Couldn’t agree more. A lot of the actors we have now are “pick-me’s” bought by friends and family. People like Kevin Heart need to focus on something other than acting because it’s not their calling.
This is a great movie!!
Sam Peckinpah simply the Greatest.
A little bit slow, but I always enjoy Maureen O'Hara. Brian Kieth has his own understated style. Overall, I enjoyed it.
THANK YOU FOR ANOTHER GREAT WESTERN GRJINGO, I SO ENJOYED THIS ONE AS IT WAS SO DIFFERENT AND THE SCENERY WAS SO DIFFERENT ALL NEW TO ME...I ALSO ENJOYED MS O'HARA AS SHE IS SO ELEGANT AND SO VERY PRETTY. SHE WAS A GREAT ACTRESS... GOD BLESS YOU ALL...
Maureen O'Hara was a real beauty.
A bit contrived, but enough redeeming features to watch in two sittings. Usual outstanding quality of uploading, thank you.
Excellent Peckinpah, classic.
Maurin O Hara, favorite, favorite red head and my favorite Irish lady. Love her to death. Class, brains, talent.
Oh this was just wonderful
I really enjoyed this film..thank you Grjingo
I wanted to watch this all the way through, because it was Sam Peckinpah's directorial debut in film...but I must say, it drags on a bit.
I found it hard to get all the way through, myself. But I wanted to complete it, out of respect for Sam's work.
Straw Dogs, Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid, The Getaway. Many great, iconic films.
Seen icebergs form faster
Yup, sure does!!
This is truly the first movie directed by SP?? it may be a trifle slow at times, but for a first film it's quite amazing. I've yet to see any of those others, as I don't think they're on youtube but knowing what I know 3rd hand about them, i think i can see the direct link from this one. Slow isn't exciting, but only the best directors can make slow at least watchable, and this one has it.
That's the darkest role I've ever seen Chill Wills in. I was expecting him to be his usual character, half stalwart companion, half comic relief.
Yeah. Chill wasn't so "Chill" in this one. Guy's like that though can play bad guy's real well. Walter Brennan is the best example. Real scary mean and bad.
Was a dark role for Maureen O’Hara, too

Steve Cochran played his role well!
Thank you Grjngo. A heart touching movie. I enjoyed
Brian kieth was pretty buff back in the day...and always played his role well.
Its really interesting movie...Maureen was superb.
i like peckinpahs gunsmoke.Gunsmoke the greatest western ever.
I enjoyed this...
Nice B Western with a star cast
VERY GOOD FILM, I ENJOYED. THANK YOU.

My favorite Sam Peckinpah movie is MAJOR DUNDEE
Great movie, thank you.
Saving this one for when I can't sleep
thank you for this great western classic. How can youtube assist in showing all these fraudulent advertisements whose sole purpose is to scam money from people.
Brian Keith 🙂 Quality Man
Enjoyed - thanks🇵🇰🇬🇧
Love my Sam Peck films, never seen this this one. Thanks for the opportunity, sure glad i have now. :-)
Great film! Bit of a character study.
A fine story, well told.
good old movie!
The Ballad of Cable Hogue was a better Peckinpah movie. And Stella Stevens!! Oh man!! Now there's a leading lady!
That was one of the first films out high school film class showed us.
This movie is a story about a 'normal' woman: always arguing, never satisfied.
Now we know where the. Ta xi driver line u talking to me came from. Can't beat Sam peikenpaugh
Sam sure did have an eye for beautiful scenery and just the right silhouette 🤠👍🇺🇸
That is not Peckinpahs' doing but rather that of the Cinematographer, William H. Clothier.
She NEVER would have screamed like that when the horse bolted as she tried to harness it. Hollered like the devil was after her yes, nbut screamed? Nope. Cursed a blue streak more likely at this point in her sad adventure. Ms. O'hara was a treasure, wasn't she!
Slow moving but keep ones interest. Good cast.!!!! 👍
Really good show.
Good does prevail
OTIMO FILME A MUSICA LINDA RECOMENDO RIO DO SUL SC
This IS NOT A COMPLETE MOVIE! It’s missing approx last half hour!
Good old flick, thanks for sharing with us!
She's the queen of Ireland. Anne Murray is the queen of Canada
WOW!
Enjoyable.
One of the oddest movies I ever finally made it through.
Odd?
You might consider it as black humor; okay, more black than humor, bur there is much subtle humor here.
Fav of my childhood
I like westerns a lot. I wish they could be on better focus, the reproductions are blurry.
Low budget-TV movie. O'hara's song must've been in her contract. Only clicked on it because of Peckinpah's name.
The 1/4” plywood on the inside of the mission door was a filming goof.
Meaning what?
Brian Kieth was Great in Nevada Smith
Sam molded the how too get the redhead.
great movie. showing greed, stupidity and integrity
thanks
Nem perco tempo.
Maureen O'Hara. Need I say more! Watch it!
The beginning - visually - reminds of the Wild Bunch
When Brian Kieth shoots the horse at 1:10:40 the horses' shadow just stands there. It doesn't fall or even flinch.
Turn your screen side ways.
I can't. My screen is way too large.
@@tommytwotoes4610 lol' and I saw the ears twitching on that shadow....after it was shot.
It was the buckskin's shadow, if you look the buck nose is to her left when she turns around.
Not only that - after the rattler attacks, he examines the horse's left rear leg; the snake attacked the horse on the right front leg. Go figure ?
Nice locations
Only enough material here for a 60 minute movie.
Faltou a legenda em português
Muy buena película Mixquiahuala Hgo. México
The pace was very slow, the acting was good, The script was weak - but - certainly worth seeing once.
Maureen O'Hara was breath taking, as usual.
The music was comically bad, bad, bad.
at 45:36 and 52:53 the peacock call sound effect is alittle out of place .
Film 60s western dramaccion con Maureen Ohara buen envio🔫📽🎥
Peckinpah went on to direct . . Major Dundee . . . The Wild Bunch . . . Straw Dogs . . . . and . . . . Bring Me The Head of Alfredo Garcia
And "Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid'!
Howdy
Maureen O’Hara never made a bad movie
long drawn out
was that Apache the same actor as Louie Feeders from Gunsmoke?
Not one of Peckinpah's best; too slow for me. Thanks anyway...
Coincido en que es lenta, pero en mi opinión o deja de ser una Gran Película.
👍👍👍
en español por favor gracias
Por favor poste o filme em português não entendo inglês agradeço sua compreensão
María, me perdoe, mais o canal é en inglés
VC vai ter que aprender
@@fredygerlian Porque que é então que na descrição do filme está que é em português.
Eu também 👍🏼🇧🇷
My only question after watching the movie is this: would it be that hard to learn to shoot left handed?
Not easy to do if you're right handed. Doable but not easy.
9 minnutes of the turket is enough This was???? a Peckinpah????movie
Burying the wagon and then pulling a travois made no sense..they could have been long gone in the buggy.
Or maybe it was the one audie played as a outlaw turned texas ranger or both
Hey Grjngo. Any chance you can find the Burt Lancaster movie, "The Scalphunters" ?
Maureen Ohara and Brian Keith fell on bad times to make a movie like this!
Brian sure makes one "SAD SACK COWBOY".....
He was a good man. Sad story. I met his son in NYC. Good guy and good actor.
Laurindo de Almeida - guitar!
