its the tamiya ford f350 body and then the guy made a custom box for the real and printed stickers. looks awesome!!!
Tamiya f350 cab on a scx10 chassis. Rear axle was shorten 1.75" to fit the true Dually wheels. Uhaul box was made from high density cardboard than over laid with white waterproof construction paper. Paint was applied along with some printed decals. It was built to haul my 1/24th Chevy, but won 1st place at Axailfest 2019 daily driver concourse.

i remember in the early 2000s when going shopping as a kid and you run into a swap meet in the parking lot happened twice or so and still remember the pure joy i felt

Awesome swap! I’m literally the only crawler on the Big Island. I haven’t seen any RC crawlers at all. Kinda hard to meet anyone unless I go to Oahu. Also, there isn’t any shops here, so I have to get everything shipped from AMain.

Nice. A swap meet with people actually trying to get their stuff sold and not trying to get retail prices.
Those are injora wheels at 11:50 and they’re like $30-40 for 4. Typically $50 for 4 with tires. Crawlers are very dependent on tires so don’t get that junk. Ssd makes a nice heavy steel wheel and brass inner lock ring. Makes the tires over 200 grams each which really helps to make a crawler stable getting the weight down low.
Don’t hate on injora beadlocks they work just as good as vanquish.Why pay a $100 for a brand name?
eskimo joe I have injora and it’s not as good as ssd steel wheels for a little more. They look great. But I was mainly talking about injora’s rip off tires. They suck. They do alright but wear out 3x faster.

Firestarter you are right about the tires they wear out fast but I only run proline hyrax with stage 2 foams.Never had a problem with injora beadlocks though.I don’t get people paying hundreds of dollars for some name brand vanquish beadlocks.
eskimo joe I run the ottsix halo dual stage foams. Love them. Give the sidewall life and perform way better than the proline dual stages I run in my trx6.

@@KTMcaptain I have seen quite a few guys run the Grand Hauler bodies with a flat bed on the 6x6s down here in TX.
The uhaul only took Me a 3 days to make the body, cut up the axle for dually wheels and put the chassis together. It was not bad and fun to do.
I only recognized the blizzards and the old tekin charger. would have loved to have seen a burns a 959 or even a frog or jrxpro. stuff is so different now

Tamiya USA is selling the stock df03 damper rebuild kit for 2 bucks. Comes with oil, springs, piston rods, red o rings, and green/red bladder’s. Enough to convert/rebuild any kit that comes with the one piece rod/plunger so you can use the 1-3 hole plungers included in every kit. You will need to buy c clips but they are cheap also.

Appreciate the swomp meet videos. I just got in to the hobby almost 6 months ago. And just a full rebuild on two 1st gen Emaxxs but I love getting basket case units and bringing the back to life. I've done 6 so far. And a few new ones. But buy far I love the ones in a crate. Lol. Keep un the good work. And I think you should do one from a crate and only use parts you have on hand lol jk.
that tekin charger powered my touring car race effort in the 90s, matched, soldered and labelled all my own nicads with it and it was probably the best mid range charger....
Way to many cool units, I definitely want to see what he wants for the Maxx your interested in and the Xmaxx bodies, but there’s definitely plenty of other awesome things I would’ve bought myself and 1 would’ve been the Trx4 you bought especially for the price as I’m sure he still would’ve took $5-10 less but $120 is a awesome deal !! Can’t wait to see part 2 !! 👊👍

1:52 ...I have that same charger. I think I bought it like 10 years ago. It's a good charger in that it lasted (and still going) and I charge a LOT of different batteries. I just hate the button sequence to select different modes and parameters. It can get frustrating. Needs a simple switch for battery type and a simple switch for charge mode. And yeah I think I paid like $300 for it brand new back then.

My axial scx10 2 cherokee never had any reliability problems. It has a whole aftermarket drivetrain and the axles internally are stock and have held up well

Yes cool rc swap meet. I tell myself that try not to buy before going thru but but if you dont buy it when you see it and walk away it usually sells before you get back for less money or at least happens to me alot lol!

The uhaul was my first custom build. It would take quite a bit to take it. I usually bring it as a conversation starter and to show it off.
