Yes, he's got an amazing set of ears (and everything else that makes music for him). Occasionally, I'll go back and watch his video clips of the past just to appreciate how talented Taj is (Eric Johnson's "Cliffs Of Dover" is one that I've watched a few times over a few months).

Im 58 and been playing music since i was 13 and ive only met 1 other person that could do that. He just has the gift. Plus he doesnt just play note for note copies. If you listen there is a lot of improv in his stuff. To be that young he has a life ahead if they keep him grounded and away from the wrong people

I think that aspect of your play can sometimes get covered up when you shred. Not that I don't like your shredding.. it rocks, but I like it when you choose these more contemplative songs.
