he actually wears a rashguard everywhere he goes 😂 the only pic of him wearing a t-shirt was from Gordon ryan's Instagram story and even then he said that he had run out of clean rashguards to wear
He wore a rash guard to Matt Serra's wedding 😂
search for the clip of gordon ryan slapping that other dude after some grappling event, and you'll see an entirely different john danaher. he is not only part lizard, but he is also chameleon
That cutaway to Eddie Bravo fucking killed me lol
I like that John doesn’t give you answers, he give you questions first and let’s you try to get it on your own. He’s a very practiced teacher, you can see it very well here.
Nah in my opinion hed be way more effective if he made his point FIRST. After that THEN you ask the question of why do you think this is? The first 3 minutes of this was annoying af bc im like dude I dont give a Fuck about javelin throwers get to the point
@@jlogan2228 Asking someone questions and having them arrive at the answer is better. By having the student work through their own thought process to arrive at the answer you have taught them not just the answer, but how to arrive to the answer, and THAT is much more effective both in terms of memorizing and integrating the power of reasoning. It's much easier to remember how to get to an answer than it is to remember the specific answer itself. Don't teach the answer, teach the path to the answer.
Joe looks like the timid student that the teacher singled out.
In a distant galaxy on a planet called Jitsuyama, a couple by the names of Rashnar Guard and Rashea Guard knew their planet was about to fail so they sent their only child coupled with a rash blanket via capsule to a distant galaxy and a planet called Earth.
There he took the form of a human and the name of John...
You know the rest.
Lol IcyMike did such a good impression of John
Yo that was badass when he said “he must be a 10th planet black belt”😂
Why do I feel relaxed as John talks about the methodical steps he uses to dominate his opponent.
Love how this ends on a cliffhanger o.0
Makes sense when you think about it
John is behind intelligent; he simplifies every definition or even every word to its direct meaning. Intriguing man that is an excellent mentor.
Joe was not ready for this pop quiz
I don’t know shit but I always thought of leg locks like the “you thought I was doing this but now I’m doing that” move. Kind of a surprise, surprise thing.
That's not just leglocks
Understanding the why is just as important as understanding the how...
The guest John Danaher asking a series of cryptic questions to his host who's being put on the spot risking making his host uncomfortable on his own show. Danaher is displaying a guru mindset of an egotist right here. He's not wrong in his comments but instead of leaving Joe hanging he could just ask the question and answer it himself without leaving these uncomfortable pauses while Joe tries to come up with an answer- JD is giving Joe the Spanish Inquisition the way he's questioning him here which is plain rude. So JD is great with his philosophy of Jiu Jitsu, he just needs to work on his conversational skills.
Funny and true
I agree haha.
Thank you for writing this so I don't have to. You're absolutely correct. I'm surprised that Joe fell for it.
Im always wondering if people are not reflecting their own behaviour or if he actually wants to come over like that
Yeah but to be fair Joe kind of needs challenging a bit sometimes, I enjoyed the inquisition
Let’s not act like this was a good “quiz” the questions were so vague there’s are several correct answers and John was looking for the only one he thought was right
Then challenge any of his fighters that use his 4 steps.
@@the101dad the point went completely over your head, I bet you thought that sounded like a cool comeback when you typed it out.
Well he wasn't supposed to get them correct. It's just to activate more conversation. Get him to figure out all the options so we understand more
@@the101dad So your answer to his valid criticism basically boils down to "well they can beat you up". So what? His point has nothing to do with whether they're better fighters than him or not. This comment is braindead.
Wow this was an excellent video on the mechanics and physics on BJJ. This was great. Thank you.
This is what I describe as text book making something extremely simple seem super complicated. Joe knows his shit when it comes to BJJ. Danaher is making it seem like rocket science e
Or he is just rationalizing. Which is kind of the point of podcast’ and conversations lmao
@@himersampsbutstronger5946 Joe mentioned every step correctly but Danaher found a way to say “no you’re wrong,” 😂
@@wayne47able But he was wrong according to Danaher's system. If I come up with my own system, and makke it 4 steps, will you get those 4 steps correctly which I made up for myself?
@@khanm.a Joe said everything correctly just not verbatim. Get the fight to the floor, establish control, and finish the guy. Danaher is the kind of guy who will make it seem like there’s 5 ways to solve 1+1... I just can’t
@@wayne47able I agree. Danaher wanted to hear it in his own words.
Bro 4:51 is pure editing gold
Thank you 😂🙏🏼
This is a great way of explaining jui jitsu
Is that a casual rashguard or a street rashguard? Jon is a absolute fighting legend!!! So glad you had him on. This man is awesome and total fight genius
Joe is like "Bro, I did not come here for a fucking quiz"
I’ll wait for the three step
Lol that 10th planet joke tho
Someone said Who is this whispering lizard
Danaher is the Plato of Jiu Jitsu.
2:42 wtf there are guys standing there
kinetic energy, dangerous legs
i love the eddie bravo edit haha
asking why john is wearing a rashguard is like asking joe rogan why he doesn't wear ties
This reminds me of my clinical year of vet school being on Internal Medicine!
Hannibal Lecter froze in fear when he heard John Danaher was coming for dinner.
The elegance of grappling
Nice editing !
That cliff hanger though
7:17 When you got everything wrong until the final question...
This guy and DDS are super legit
Sounds like a Jedi master instructing a young Padawan
When a college teacher asks you questions, to which he/she already knows you don't have answers lol
-You are a black belt? Must be black belt from 10th planet.
Lmaaaao😂😂
Why did he say that?what's wrong with 10th planet?serious question
@@johnnyhancock717 it's not that there is anything wrong with it lol. But Joe Rogan is actually a black from 10th Planet its like an organization. Like when people get their black from the gracie's so on and so forth. He was poking fun at his gym playfully
He didn’t tell joe anything joe didn’t already know. Just worded it differently lmao.
I literally just got a a College Level lecture for Free. MIND-BLOWING
