Yes, I simulate the human voice with the theremin tone.
It is exactly “Thereminvox”.
I think it can be applied to scat and humming instead of humans.

Try to configure the theremin to violin strings. The piece is called air on the G string, not G vocal chord. Great try nonetheless.

I happened to find a way to convert the theremin tone into a human voice, and have been playing a lot of songs in this style ever since.
However, there are some songs that suit this tone and others that do not.
Recently I have been playing with a whistling style tone.

Theremin is like an electric guitar, and you can process the tone with effectors.
In my case, I use a low-pass filter to simulate a human voice.
