  • Decatur Street runs parallel to the Mississippi River in New Orleans. It was formerly called Levee Street or Rue de la Levee as it was the original location of the levee. When the river altered its course in 1870 it was renamed Decatur Street after naval hero Stephen Decatur Jr. on Decatur Street you can find Jackson Square, Cafe du Monde and many many shops, restaurants, and bars and music venues.

    It looks so much cleaner on video than in real life. Where were all the gutter punks and their dogs? The dog crap and garbage on the sidewalk? You caught us on a good day
