When i saw the official Broadway production of BoM, Turn It Off was the showstopping number. This is the closest I've seen to recapturing the humor, chaos and joy from that performance. Excellent singing, choreography and camp in this performance. Thank you for sharing this.
I like this version, a lot. The bigger group allows for more elaborate choreography, and I like how the gay stuff isn't limited to JUST "Elder McKinley." Nicely done!
'The Book of Mormon' is the funniest play I've ever seen, and this is a great performance of one of my favorite numbers. If you have a chance to see 'The Book of Mormon', do it.
Thanks for your kind words. It is one of the best and funniest musicals I've ever seen. I was lucky enough to see it on Broadway and it was brilliant. Check out our other Book of Mormon covers.
I NEED to know who choreographed this many young men because this is GREAT! The choir at the end just sounds GORRRRRGEOUS!!! Like, wow. My ears are so happy.
Starbound has choreographers and vocal coaches from the professional music theatre industry. In this case it was a young man who’s just started in Miss Saigon named Sam Ward and a woman who’s currently in Beauty and the Beast named Thalia Smith. They were fantastic. Can you believe we had nearly 30 young men in this number?
@@JasonParkerStarbound absolutely incredible choreography and all amazingly talented performers and musicians - I don’t know how many times I’ve watched this but it really never gets old!! Overall an outstanding performance - everyone should be extremely proud. :))

3:05 Elder McKinley is absolute perfection. The excess touching, the jaunty little walk away. Just such strong characterisation from all of them, and especially right there. This was phenomenal, on par with the Broadway production truly.
@@JasonParkerStarbound You are so welcome. A friend I shared this with was wondering how the vests were done and, even as a former actor, I explained that I didn't know how, because it appears seamless onstage.
@@DMOrtmann it is very smooth but I think the vests act more like aprons? So they don't have to out their arms though anything as it just goes over the head and then the lower part is fastened at the back somehow.

Oh YES! RUclips-orgasme when you find something that just hits the spot. Sorry but I wish so often I could see the version of BOM I saw on west-end. I love this song. You nailed the choreography! Well done. But besides that, you are all talented. Hats of to the school for existing.

Very well done. I don’t know much about choreography. Does the Kevin Price actor drift to the back because they put the strongest dancers in the front? Or because it’s not in his character’s nature to break into a dance?

This is so ridiculously well made. Nothing beats the original, but this is the only one I've seen yet that comes close. Great talents!

@Jason Parker Not surprised :) cheers!
Only version I’ve seen that lives up to the original
I'm willing to try heroin to replicate the energy and sensation I felt when seeing that costume change for the first time live
It took the cast a bit of practice to get the costume change correct in the dark.
Same
Best part of the show!
