- We recently headed up to Chipping Norton to film with Jeremy at his farm, so we thought it would be a great chance to get up close and personal with his beloved Alfa Romeo.
We received permission from Jeremy's partner, but after taking to the wheel, Mike quickly found out that we really needed to run it past Clarkson himself. Here's what happened...

I'm guessing they tried contacting him personally multiple times, for whatever reason his gf had to respond and gave them the info that he was ok with it.
They had no issue with getting cars from James or Richard, Jeremy simply isn't exactly the nicest guy in the world tbh.
Shobin Drogan he did donate a ton of potatoes to people in his town who needed them during the heat of the pandemic, which was nice.

Love the GTV6. I had a 1985 one in Silver. One of the best cars I've owned, even if it went wrong a lot. So much character, wonderful noise and feel.

4:49 you do realize the GTV6 engine is a ‘Busso V6’ as well? They’re basically all the same engine, just different iterations, incorporating stuff like fuel injection and DOHC.

Mine was an '81 silverish over bluish. Only had it for five years but I loved it. 2nd gear took skill to engage but no other gears were a problem. Once the factory two-piece head gasket was replaced with a one-piece, it ran like a champ. Revved like glass, sounded like F1 all day. I GAVE it away after installing a new voltage regulator and battery. Hard day but there was room and it had to go. Will always regret having to do that.
whats the point in clarkson being on Drivetribe? It feels like May and Hammond are the only ones doing this.

I've had two alfa sud's sc and ti, a gtv6 and a 75 v6 cloverleaf. This was back when everyone else were in their Astra's and Escorts.

They're all busso V6, just diferent evolutions.

Yeah, but the way they are talking about it, makes it seem like the earlie V6s aren't from Giuseppe Busso, but they all are, just different evolution's.

Mike, I also had s Mondeo ST220. With a Pipercross carbon intake and Mongoose stainless exhaust it sounded absolutely epic. Brilliant car.
he didnt mind his neighbour harry metcalf (former evomag owner) road testing it recently though (see harrys video review on you tube)
There's an obvious disparity in effort Jeremy is putting into Drivetribe compared to Hammond and May. Apart from the odd inebriated livestream, a few rambling diatribes at a roadside cafe and interviews with his daughter, we've not had much from Jezza. Meanwhile May and Hammond are putting in some serious shifts to keep the channel interesting and content rich. Didn't Jeremy understand that his car wasn't being stolen but was being filmed for a RUclips channel he partly owns? What an angry man. I suppose worse things have happened when people have got on his bad side.
Jeremy's too busy playing farmer in the dell with his hot new g/f to play with the boys and put in work on the show it seems.
Someone took his car and drove it without his permission. You shouldn’t drive a man’s car with his girlfriend’s permission, specially a classic Italian sports car like this. Its his property after all, his belongings aren’t for free use no matter what the reason is.
His reaction should be the last thing we should be speaking about

His Alpha Romeo is a nice Gem, It is by far the best looking in my opinion. I too fell in love with it when I watched that episode.

Growing up i watched some Top Gear and now i'm older i watch the Grand Tour and Jeremy really made me fall in love with Alfa's, when i saw this car i immediately wanted one, however they are now all expensive so looks like ill have to look elsewhere.
I had an Alfetta GT 2 liter, I scarcely recognized this car without the rust.
I didn't expect Clarkson actually keep the monstrosity off road Mercedes

Like the general look of the Alfa Romeo GTV6 yet not sure about the exterior from the C-pillar to the rear compared to the similarly styled Alfa Romeo Alfasud Sprint, believe it could have been improved with a similar C-pillar and tidier rear arrangement / body-kit as the Alfa Romeo Alfasud Sprint 6C.
The Sprint definitely has better proportions than the GTV

Had an Italian immigrant foster father, he worked for the Town of Middletown CT as a plumber, and all he talked about was Alpha Romeo and how he didn’t need a Ferrari or a Lamborghini. I totally agree.

This car is fun with turbo charger, intercooler...methanol, rasied compression, dry sump - tuned baffle exhaust (factory team works mile miglia) with stainless borla tips. Factory bronze glass, flat black slatted louvre's on rear three windows, power moon roof. Blaupunkt berlin, recaro seats, 5 point harness, roll cage, pirelli P-Zero's. A fire breather. No, it REALLY popped and sputtered flames (you could see only at night). Huge emblem serpent behind front wheels on fenders, quadrafoglio on rear side louvres. Best car I ever had.

I would imagine part of the reason he was so annoyed about it is because the car could've very easily been seized for lack of MOT, tax and subsequently, valid insurance.
It is a busso, the chromed intakes came when it was packaged for the 164 or even the 155

So I re-watched this episode because of this video, can anyone explain why the video footage at 19:45 of Richard driving the Fiat has been digitally reverted (flipped left to right)? His plate is backwards, he's on the "wrong" side of the car, the advertisement sign in the background is half flipped and half not.
What possible reason could there be for this? :)
