Then I believed on Jesus Christ and won the victory. Then I repented of my sins and won the victory is false doctrine, has nothing to do with salvation. When in doubt, throw it OUT
I agree with the former part, but I disagree with the latter. just because a song has a wrong phrase (or even doctrine) doesn’t mean you should throw the whole thing out. Examples: When the Roll is Called Up Yonder: On that bright and CLOUDLESS MORNING…” when referring to the coming of Christ; it will not be a cloudless morning when He returns, He’s coming on a cloud! The Old Account: This song also has the phrase “repent of all your sins,” however, some hymnals have changed those words to, “be cleansed of all your sins,” that is a better alternative, I believe, than just booting the whole song. The Lily of the Valley: Says Jesus is the Lily of the Valley, a phrase used in Song of Songs when referring to Solomon’s WIFE. But the words are still good, and we still sing it. Más Allá Del Sol: A Spanish hymn translated into English insinuates Amillenialism. Believe me, there are more. But this case in particular, Victory in Jesus is a southern song, a group deeply influenced by the Pentecostals and Spirituals of the South. They probably weren’t 100% on doctrine, and this song is currently under the copyright protection of Zondervan publishers (if I’m not mistaken). I doubt they’d let you change the words. Have a blessed Sunday at church!
@@jonathanbaptist4194 There's a difference between something that's just off (bright and cloudless morning) and music that teaches false salvation. Change the words, or throw it out. I don't sing Lily of the Valley either, because Jesus isn't feminine. Who cares what Zondervan copyrighted? We don't have to sing their false doctrine. You have a blessed Sunday too.
My dear brother in the flesh went to be with Christ earlier this week and by now he is walking on those streets of gold. Hallelujah!
The song leader is outstanding. I love to hear him sing.

At :36 I saw 18 people say they are going to Heaven because they worked for it. Christianity teaches you are saved by faith alone, not works.
Guess u need 2 get ur eyes checked.
@@jonathanbaptist4194 LOL What does that even mean?

Like too many they have them at the wrong moment. Is faith just a story sung in a loud and rather daft voice?
I love this hymn but don't like this man's showy presenting
