In the dark of early morning over 80 residents of The Springs of Creekside Health and Rehabilitation Home in Yellville, Arkansas were successfully rescued and moved to safe locations. Water was approaching patient beds height at the worst of it. Water and mud cover the floors of almost the entire buildings. A few miles away a bridge was partially washed away. Many roads are closed throughout the area.
Looks like it was a nice place for nursing care and to enjoy the creek. Hope everyone there is okay and can find a place to stay.

This is just terrible for residents, families and employees. And that beautiful garden out back - so sad they have to leave there.

Yes, he went to work that morning,(Ranger Boats) and was sent home due to not many others being able to make it because of the aforementioned flooding.
In that short span of time since he'd crossed the same bridge earlier it had disappeared. Apparently he was rescued from a tree downstream a short while later...
Flooded in the "neighbouring" town of Flippin. Flood done almost take my friend's tools completely down river.
Does this mean their city council or city planner allowed a nursing home to be built in a flood zone?

This was a significantly different storm. We've never experienced anything similar.
The meteorologist are referring to it as a "Hundred year storm" but you can go back much further than that historically and see that even in extreme weather events this hasn't happened previously.
While that's referred to as a creek, it's at best a seasonal creek and is dry generally this time of year.
This is just the result of a significant weather system parking itself over our community and emptying it's bladder on all of us. Apparently Mother Nature is PO'ed about something because it's only been several weeks since we were hit by a couple deadly tornadoes (F3)
We live in a GREAT neck of the woods, the perfect place to raise children without so much of the modern world negatively impacting us.
