You can change the startup and shutdown screens to custom photos using the micro SD card. You pull it out and pop it in your computer. Then create two folders named: StartupImage & DisplayOffImage Then just add your photos to the desired folders. To change the photos, you hit settings and select the customize screen option. You should see the new photos in the folder. Select the one you want.
I appreciate you sharing that, but yeah I did cover that on part 4 ruclips.net/video/CyGmLseaedc/видео.html It’s a 5 part series 😉 Thank you for your support!
@@VikingsGarage I didn't realize that there were three more parts! Good news for me then, I have more videos to watch. Love these videos. Thanks for all the great info.
I have watched several of your videos! Love them! I just bought a used 2010 4 Runner..Love it!! But I have a couple questions that I have not seen on a video yet. 1. How can I check my transmission fluid? 2. Do you have a video on replacing the backseat latch and engage the cable? I bought a replacement latch but seems to be a glitch.
Transmission fluid can only be checked by draining it. Important to set it’s level correctly: ruclips.net/video/qTh3iuhpE_s/видео.htmlsi=SousImUSp2XO1o_D I don’t have any videos on rear seat latches. I appreciate your support! Thank you for watching!
Do you recommend the front skid plate option if no trail plans, but as a way to deter potential rust for that underside area-even if I plan to rust cost? It seems like a cool feature to help deflect ice, snow, and salt in addition to rocks and other loose terrain.
So the 110/120V AC outlet is like an inverter? It says it's rated for 400W so you could probably run a small refrigerator but do you know if it's pure sine wave current that's easy on your sensitive electronics?
Thank you, you know someone asked me before but I couldn’t remember. It was on Amazon for sure. 🤷🏼♂️ 4runner lifestyle website might have them too. I hope this helps. Thank you for watching!
@@VikingsGarage Thanks for the reply! I have checked that part number with Toyota and they are more rounded on each end. I like your style better. I'm thinking it might be the updated version?
Does anyone know how to turn off the voice guidance in the Nav, I just like to see it on the map I don’t want the voice prompts but can’t figure out how to disable it
Already a thumbs up for AC/DC shirt. Some of these make me laugh, though. They make it sound like you haven’t been in a car built past 1984 until your 4Runner.
@@VikingsGarage Got it. I’m just trying to add some Eibach lift springs to the Fox Pro suspension and replace the upper control arms with Camburg Uniball UCA’s. I’m not looking for free work or anything but I figured it would be a nice video for the channel. I understand if it’s not something youre interested in doing. It would also require an alignment so either way, would end up in a professional shop in the end.

just got 2024 4runner and been watching your video. sauce holder by itself deserves to be a separate video :p
lol Congrats on the new Ride!!
Hey I got a 2023. Can you disable the TSS features with tech steam??
Do you recommend the front skid plate option if no trail plans, but as a way to deter potential rust for that underside area-even if I plan to rust cost? It seems like a cool feature to help deflect ice, snow, and salt in addition to rocks and other loose terrain.
The skid plate is in my opinion an upgrade. Will protect the undercarriage much better.
On my to do list. 😉
@@VikingsGarage 👍🍺
Which style interface are you using to access computer selectable features & tools for diagnostics
Thank you for sharing
is it possible to change up the nav to heads up? mine is currently compass view.very confusing
I believe somewhere in the settings, yes.
The Units Conversion menu on techstream, would it change the readings from Fahrenheit to Celcius and from Miles to Kilometer?
It sure can.
Cool stuff man! Thanks for sharing. I’m a girl and proud owner of a 4 Runner!
Thank you!!
One cool girl indeed 😁😉
How do you check the tire pressure on the display for 2021? Besides the tire Guage of course 😅
Sorry buddy but it’s not equipped with one. only a low tire pressure warning light.I know and agreed. why not Toyota??
From the default screen (MPG After Start) click right then down
i like that navigation part
👍🏻

I’m not telling anyone that I have a sauce holder slot, that’s a recipe for disaster.
The seeking best radio station trick works on MOST radios that have presets.
This is true.
The centre fold down seat. I was like whaat! Lol
😁
Super helpful video, thanks!
👍🏻
I’m jealous. I just bought a 2023 and no cd disc player. Power outlets are replaced by USB ports. Arm rest and trunk only with power outlets.
😉 it’s a great truck, Enjoy!!
What roof rack do u have?
OEM with cross bars + cheap harbor freight roof basket

Do you know how to install a toyota factory remote starter on a 2023 4Runner
I’ve installed a few on older 4Runners, make sure you don’t already have one.

There is plenty to customize there, excellent point.
19.9mpg?!!! Wow I'm getting 15.5
lol, I literally drive this thing like an old lady. that’s why.😉
Going 60mph cross a few states my average was 23mpg in a 2020
Very possible, but the moment you get of the highway back down to 20 or below.
15.5?!?! I get 10.9 😭
Wow, 10.9 that’s got to be some kind of a record. Not a good one.
I wonder why?
I used Carista to adjust a lot of the setting through the OBD 2 port
It’s a great tool, well worth the money.
I just saw that in another video. Do when you sign up you have to pay for each option you take off ?
@@preciousgaitan266 no you do not it does have a monthly subscription but it comes in handy for reading codes
Awesome …. Well my sound sucks when i use the 4Runners phone. I just use the speaker on my phone. The sound doesn’t come out of my JBLs
Interesting!!
What software and hardware did you use to interface with the OBD2?
I work for Toyota, it’s a Toyota scanner/tool . The system itself is called TIS. I’m sure you can achieve similar tasks with Carly.

Does the 2 wheel drive limited 4 runner have all wheel drive?
Simple and easy answer. No.
It’s 2wd , rear wheel drive only.
I thought the limited trim only comes in all time 4wd...
Pretty sure if you search hard and south, states that don’t have or deal with snow. You will find 2wd 4Runner’s in all trims. 😜
Crazy but true.
Thanks

Is there a way to contact you? I’m wondering if you’d be interested in working on my TRD Pro in the Spring.
