Proactive CYA. We're gray hat and never trying to promote anything more than simple mischievous exercises for the sake of learning. Thanks for the praise. I think you'll love what we have coming in the next few weeks.
Please keep up with this style of format. I like when the tools that are use are brought in during the practical hands-on-demo rather than the tools being shown off as the main element of the show. I think for me this three part series was easily in your top 3 episodes ever. Based on much of the feedback I am certain I am not alone.
This was a much better show than in the past. The level of detail is needed. I'd love to see this type/style of show for more of the more....'interesting' type shows. I have also noticed a large degree of hesitation when your talking about by-passing security (the beeb location locking). Did you get angry letters sent you way or is this proactive CYA measures?
I am very new to proxies, and firewalls. I just got pfsense, and I want to set it up to anonymous proxy. There are a few places where I go for classes on RUclips like EliTheComputerGuy, but you guys are all about the security. I'd bet money that if you guys took a look at his classes and set up step by steps and instructionals in the general style that he uses, IN ADDITION to your normal content... ...your traffic/revenue would hemmorage. If not, PLLLEEEAAASE do a step by step class on using anonymous proxies in PFsense, along with recommendations on some anonymous proxies that that you would recommend.
Sad thing is that I am pretty much like Darren. I use chrome for speedy direct connection, Firefox for my security (but with extensions for usability), and then a tor/onion browsing modifier for IE called Ultrasurf for firewall bypass. I know IE is pretty much crap when it comes to security, but with this single .exe file, I can bypass wifi AP filters and firewalls and still be browsing using the tor network. Speed reduction is barely noticeable, but for the security, hell yeah.
I just like to say what a great great great show. This episode was incredible your explanation of proxy and ssh was perfection. But there is one problem when I am using ssh that I noticed, there seems to be DNS leak even after I have configured the firebox browser. Is there anything that can be done about it becase although an evesdropper cannot see the information u have typed they can still see what site u have visited via dns leak. I looking forward to ur show next week on pairing legends.
How do I configure environment proxy and get 'git' to work behind a socks proxy? When I am using an normal proxy, I use corkscrew to tunnel and use git through ssh. Can I use git through ssh behind a socks proxy?

It warms my heart to hear that. Stay tuned we have some amazing stuff coming up.
Good to know. Thanks :)
oh my! thanks Darren.
Thanks :)
We'll see what we can do.
Great episode!
I've actually learned something from this, keep it up please.
Wow The new rendering engine in direct X has done well for Shannons pixels, they are more bold and well rounded,
best pixels I've seen today
Not a bad idea :)
I use three browsers. Chromium is my race car. Firefox is my tank. Opera is my library (that goes vroom-vroom.)

In linux (going to assume you're running debian based) install the package "ssh", and it's done. You may want to forward port 22 in your router.

We all know how awesome Domain.com is by now...
switchy is alright that way when i connect to the school wifi i can just set up chrome rather then going to system preferences, then network setting.
Yeah, nice big pixels
Snubs has really nice big pixels :)
i think "Tessellation" is the new feature in DX11
Minecraft, with the right, custom, Texture Pack can be awesome. There is one out there based on TRON. 8-)
Darren if you don't want to use extensions, sandbox or vm a proxied browser..
boom, lazy town.. ;)
