Gimli, I think, is the greatest dwarf to have lived. Not for courage or prowess in battle (which he certainly had), but for being a healer.
He healed the rift between Rohirrim and Dwarf.
He healed the rift between Galadhrim and Dwarf.
He built the bond between Gondorean and Dwarf.
And at last, Gimli stood before the Valar, first among dwarves.
I also must comment on the strength of Tolkien's work, that it inspires so many to such passion in its studies, as we see in examples like this video. Well done.

There sincerely is no other youtube experience like this one. These long-form videos are so appropriately reflective of Tolkeins legendary style of writing. I feel as if I've embarked on a new journey into a familiar world.
A sidenote I've always found intriguing: despite the sacred significance of the reincarnated heirs of Durins namesake, not all of the seven play a particularly pivotal or influential role in the progression of the Dwarven race. Some live and pass on without any recognition in the annals of naugrim lore.

Nice! Beautiful tales of heroism that are relatable to modern life. Thank you for sharing your gift of translation. I for one feel that you placed your mark in this imaginarium, but in a real way, if that makes any sense.

This is the best LOTR RUclips channel, and it’s easily my favorite by a country mile. This is my favorite YT channel period !!!! Your pronounciations of Tolkiens’ languages, your knowledge of the legendarium, your smooth vocal narration, the visuals, the editing. As a Tolkien nerd this is just Fucking amazing. Thank you for making these kickass videos !!!

You know when I first watched/read LOTR and up until relatively recently Dwarves were my least favorite. Now that has all changed thanks in part to your videos. Great job Rainbow Dave your videos bring order to the chaos that is TolkienTube.

It's been awhile since I've visited the channel. Gotta take the RUclips detox on occasion. My how this channel has grown!! And I 💜💜💜 how much you explore Tolkien beyond the LOTR obvious and very closely related legendarium content. You really do untangle Tolkien in a fun way!
I also love the longer videos.
The series on the Beginning and Early Years up to the dawning of the First Age... I really enjoy those!!
Perfect timing too!! I've been in Unfinished Tales lately and The Quest of Erebor has been the story I've been revisiting, thus I have Dwarves on the brain moreso than usual.

Ps. My son's name is David. Can't go wrong with a David. Also, I miss the fun little Tolkien tidbits you included in the end of your earliest videos. Knowing there's mountains on the moon with Tolkien relevant names is too cool. I learned that from you Dave. Gimme more!!

I want to know every detail about the dwarven kingdoms! Gundabad? From whence The Deathless came?!!? There has to be a story there!! And In my mind, Moria is bigger / deeper than Erebor, but I'm truly making that up! How about a list of kingdoms of dwarves by size and or population!!?? The Iron Hills are also geographically interesting. Maybe after Children of Hurin, give us another dwarven palette cleanser. A brutal, brutal palette cleanser. How many dwarven kingdoms existed at the height of their existence? How few, when they were most brutally massacred?? Where did dwarves flourish in each age? Thank you for inspiring me to love the Professor's work more with every video! RAINBOW FREAKIIN DAVE!! Love ya, buddy!!

I'm not saying anything against Telchar, I'm really not, but I am saying the fact that the two main pieces of ironwork he's known for - Angrist and Narsil - both get broken when Our Heroes use them is not the best advertisement for Ye Olde Telchar's Weaponry and Smithing Shoppe.
(Kidding! I kid! But I do find it funny. The greatest craftsman of the dwarves, ever, is best known wares that are famous for getting broken. Yes, I know, in extraordinary circumstances both times, etc, etc. All the same.)
