  • Pen Roberts takes a look at the history of the Ginetta range of racing cars. A selection of the models looked at include the 1958 model Ginetta G2, the 1966 model Ginetta G4, the 1984 model Ginetta G4 Series IV and the 1966 model Ginetta G12. He also takes a look at the incredibly rare 1969 model Ginetta G17 and the more commercial 1974 model G21.

Why did he say no one knows what happened to the G16? there where 8 chassis made and several continuation cars in the 90s.
And they are very fast and successful against the Chevrons B6.

Love it when guys claim that old cars "look modern today". That last Ginetta looks great, but it's definitely vintage.

That G 12 looks like a Ferrari Dino, the G 4 looks like an E type Jag. Not that being derivative is necessarily bad. Their concept of extremely light weight was perfect for the time, it was the same tha Colin Chapman was doing with the Lotus. The G 21 looks like the offspring of an Aston Martin and a Datsun 240. Just sayin’

Great looking cars I would assume, but the camera man is focused on the presenter. What a shame…Terrible.
