Nice video. I've been there a few times for both baseball and football prior to the latest renovation. I remember sweating to death in the Florida sun, so the partial roof must be great.
One thing I was disappointed in when I went by it when I was in Miami is that the entire perimeter is fenced off and you cant get within roughly 1000ft of it unless its game day or an event
Tbh I think it was good that they renovated it and made it more modern instead of replacing it altogether like so many other cities do. Too many perfectly good stadiums have been left abandoned or demolished
I wonder, even with all of the new renovations, could the stadium still be converted back to accommodate baseball if the Marlins needed it for some reason?
No. Part of the 2015 renovation was to angle the lower seating bowl so that it now gets much closer to the field. The Marlins stole all the public money to fund a billion dollar stadium where the Orange Bowl used to be. They won't be going back. Good riddance...
I had season tickets from '99-'09. I eventually had seats in Row 5 of the upper bowl on the Dolphins side 45 yard line. Some of the best seats in the house. I would've hated the front rows of the lower bowl...
I never understood why the side stands had to be so far away from the field. Everyone says it was to fit the Soccer pitch, but that wasn't necessary. A Soccer field doesn't need stands that far away from the center! A world class soccer field is 74.4 yds vs 53.3 yards in Football, but Soccer doesn't need large areas of sideline space for 100 people to stand in. In fact several NFL-only stadiums were approved to host World Cup soccer games about the same time Joe Robbie was built. They all had normal sized soccer pitches. Lumen Field in Seattle was purpose built to host Soccer and Football. It has a 75 yd wide soccer pitch, and its stands are about the same distance from the center as in Lambeau Field. In fact, Joe Robbie's stands could have been even closer since the stands don't curve in near the ends like Seattle's stadium. It wasn't baseball either. Joe Robbie stadium was 345 feet to the right field line (the stand that did not retract). This is an uncommonly long distance. And it is possible to get permission to make it shorter (New Yankee Stadium- 314 feet), and other design choices could have made up for it. Joe Robbie had WAY too many outfield seats. A few more rows could have been made removable or retractable without any downside. No, the stands were so far away due to bad design. There are Soccer stadiums with stands as far away-- but they don't HAVE to be that far away. Maybe the designers did so little homework, that they didn't realize that. They just copied the width of some recently built Soccer-only stadium, gave it NFL length and said, these are our dimensions. They should have optimized it for Football and made the other sports work. And they would have worked just as well.
Nice Job!, thanks for having me…
Thanks for the collab! Would love to work with you again in the future
Just subscribed to the both of yall. Great content. 👍 ☆☆☆☆☆.
Also of.note is the race track currently being built around the stadium to host an F1 Grand Prix this May

Will you two be collaborating on your channel? Or in the future? It’s the Meta verse
Likely because they are doing work to accommodate the future Formula 1 race there....

Been there a few times. I am glad they opted for renovation instead of replacement.

I don't believe so sir..There isn't retractable seating in the newest version of Pro Player Stadium..lol..
They also added a lot of tennis courts/stadiums and hosts the Miami open

It wasn't made that way for soccer, it was primarily baseball. And 314 ft at Yankee Stadium is a clown show...
As a long time Miami dolphins fan, this was appreciated!
Don't forget they hosted two world series and the Marlins won both of them.
You forgot the TWO World Series victories by the Marlins J/S
