Thank you so much for this video it’s really inspiring!
I noticed you said you graduated 2013 for bachelors and 2017 for masters. During your masters did you apply during or post graduation for dental admissions?
And I’m assuming with the 3 year difference did you have a gap year followed by 2 year masters program?
Great advice!!
Thank you thank you!
Hi Dr. Yoo! Honestly, your video inspired me to continue keep going for my path towards dental school! I just graduated this year majoring in biochem and am thinking of starting post-bacc program in UCLA extension. Then, I’m planning to apply to dental school next year’s cycle in June. My overall GPA is okay, but my science GPA wouldn’t be like that(especially for lower div core requirements like gen chem and gen bio), and that’s why I’m considering doing the post-bacc. Do you think UCLA extension would be a good choice for post-bacc program? Thank you so much :)
Hello Bella! So glad to hear my videos helped! I have a few friends that did that same program and got into dental school the very next year. I say it's promising but also be aware of everything I pointed out in the video. I hope this helps!
@@SmilesforYoo Appreciate your reply! Thank youuu :)
Thank you for making this video. Love your content!
Ahhh thank you so much for your kind words and support!
This is a great view and a very inspiring story! I'm in a similar situation, what is a good GPA to get in a masters program?
Thank you for watching! Hard situation to be in! If you want an interview at any dental school, you generally want to shoot for a 3.0 science GPA. To be competitive, you will want something around a 3.32 Science GPA. Best of luck! Let me know if you need anything!
My gpa is so bad like 2.5
I see! what year are you in college/Uni?
@@SmilesforYoo I already graduated with a bachelor of science in kinesiology and I’m taking the second part of Ochem and taking trigonometry to take physics in order to get rid of prerequisites to apply. So after finishing Ochem I plan to take the DAT which would be this December or January of 2024
