Justified doesn't mean right though. The kid needs to be fired and sued. He shouldn't have been charged though. I wish nothing but the best for him. He can still do good but not as a cop.

I think he would have done the same to a white woman; he was triggered by the crazy Jesus talk and afraid she was going to throw the boiling water at him. You are so right; a taser might have been the appropriate weapon if she did try to throw water on him. But he used excessive force. I agree it's very depressing and sad.
A taser emits electricity and water is a conductor. It would have electrocuted her. Also if you slow the video down, you can see the pot flying towards the officers and steam coming up from the floor by the divider between the living room and kitchen. Check it out in slow-mo... Still, that officer was too aggressive, and I think they should not have aimed at her head.

That was escalated too quick. Boiling water will cause major damage though.
