Plenty of coaches have commented on the atmosphere in Rupp. They come from all across the country and every one of them that walks out to the floor before tip-off can feel it in the air. Hair stands on end, fear too thick to swallow, sweat beads on the face, and words begin to studder. The first glimpse of a sea of blue and white, with a noise that will drive you deaf and hum in your chest. The territory is hostile, to some coaches comparable to Afghanistan. They didn't walk into an Arena, they walked into an experience. The question is, will they survive the night in Lexington?
Rupp arena was once the most feared place to play for opposing teams in the country, and now it still gets popping every now and then but it isn't what it was. Hopefully Calipari can get this program back on track and Rupp arena gets back to the tradition.

But the same year have our players be more concerned about politics and take a knee during the anthem.... WHAT HAPPENED TO KENTUCKY?!?!?!? Will we ever get #9 w Cal?
Rupp Arena isnt even an advantage anymore. Cal’s coaching is unbelievably bad. One of the most talented teams i’ve seen play at Kentucky and we can’t defend anyone. Shit’s getting old.
