- This is part 1 of a 3 part series on building the lightweight KFm2 Flying Wing. In this part I measure and cut the foam for the body, glue it together and mount the motor.

Thanks for sharing this video series! I'm still smiling as I write this :-)
I tend to overthink my builds, plan things for ages, and measure everything out to sub-milimeter precision...
It was really refreshing to see a different approach to a build :-)
Thanks! I do tend to have a lighter attitude toward the precision of my builds...but for the most part they still fly and I have fun with them:-) There is certainly a place for more meticulous methods and I admire some of the really spectacular scratch builds I have seen online.
i just have to add my two cents. theres so much room for easy improvement here. ;)
taping the whole sheet, and folding the the front edge after scoring the inside, gives you a cleaner and stronger result with less effort. (you can make a nice 45° chisel edge with 2 folds, and even hide wires or a thin carbon spar into the fold)
for scoring folds and making channels to insert reinforcements, a blade for a hand held tile saw works wonders! bend it a bit, so it drags through the foam nicely.
peace~
it would even fly with that rectangle shape foamboard....just cut elevons n prop clearance...main thing is picking ur electronics n where to place them...thats the good thing about flying wings...cheap n easy..btw....nice video
Anyone have any info on what parts I need.Like the name or model of the speed controller and also the servos ,motor. A list of parts be great thanks
Ok thank you very mutch
+lol lol No problem...as a coincidence I flew this wing earlier today (no video)...still flies great!
What is the gauge of that carbon fiber rods?
Good build john. You get the big fpv plane out yet?
Not yet, was thinking about exactly that this morning. I'm going to be out for a while, but when I get back the first nice day I want to put it up in the air. I'm a bit nervous because it has the arkbird on it, but am excited to see if the return to home, stabilization and other features work.
UnlimitedVertical aww... nerves will go away soon as it's in the air. Good luck hope to see it fly soon
what measures you have taken since
I still fly this wing unchanged
how thick is your foam board
+lol lol 3/16" it is adams readi board from the dollar store.
Why not Leave the Paper On ? It's what gives your foamboard Strength
and Stiffness . You are covering it up with tape anyways . And , now
your Motor Mount is glues to a Weakened single sheet . Keep Your
central area Strong for your Electronics and wings .

Brother I think you should take more care and study in what kind of power system you use. We all have been thru that. And sometimes one think one has learn it all but it needs more study to get it perfect. A wing of this size need at least a bigger esc's and maybe power plant
Hi
What is the name of glue are you using?
u have blueprint/pdf ?
Unfortunately not, but if you search youtube for "project flight design delta scratch build video" you will find a build video which is probably more helpful than this one. It is pretty much the same design (I am using a thinner piece for the top and mount the servos differently, but that doesn't matter).
UnlimitedVertical thanks you
hello I'm Frederick from Ghana, please can i have your email thank you
