  • This diorama features the Hasbro Marvel Legends HasLab Sentinel. For many of us who received the Sentinel, we knew this would take up a lot of space. I wanted to showcase building a diorama that utilized the IKEA Detolf shelf to spark some creativity to collectors looking to build a diorama for their Sentinel with limited space. Hope you enjoyed this build and take some ideas away for your own display!

    Amazing. I missed that Haslab. It still haunts me. The x men have always been my main marvel team. You've given me ideas for another multi layered display.

      @@thomasgoesnostalgic I'm thinking of doing an 80s Secret Wars inspired one with Galactus when he arrives. We don't have all the villains yet like molecule man, Volcana etc but it could still work.

    So much to unpack here. Great job, and the final look is totally worth it. Your magnet work is essential, man! But it is the end result with all the character ganging up that make it come to life. Love the full picture you are making by adding dioramas to all of your toys.

      Thank you! I try to think back to all the cool toy commercials and always wish they sold the scenery as the play sets. Making dioramas is fulfilling that wish for myself. Love losing the figures and creating a story. Hope you liked this episode!

      Haha for now all of them. I have a few X Men ideas I’ve been wanting to do so I will start spreading then out and giving certain characters their own displays hopefully soon. I’d love to do a diorama recreating X-men #1 like Hasbro did at SDCC a few years back

    I personally found that the Toy-Biz Sentinels scaled better with the "Marvel Universe 3"75 figures since the Sentinel was always supposed to be massive plus it felt cartoon accurate, I only have eight Toy-Biz Sentinels that I managed to get.
    I think if Hasbro got smart, they could re-release the Toy-Biz Sentinels and maintain the disassemble ability for battle damage and so forth, I'm sure is they improved on the molds they could and would make ALOT of money back.

    • @thomasgoesnostalgic

      8 is impressive! Would be nice to have the Marvel Universe Sentinels to then use the HasLab as Master Mold though

      @@thomasgoesnostalgic I'm actually trying to build a custom Sentinel with a mannequin base so that the Toy-Biz ones could fit in the chest.
      Finding the right base will be expensive but I think I could customize one if I get the money and time..ha, ha.

    • @thomasgoesnostalgic
      @thomasgoesnostalgic  Год назад +1

      @@MrDEMarq that would be real awesome! Even just for battle damage parts you could use those foam heads they sell at the craft store

    • @MrDEMarq

      @@thomasgoesnostalgic Indeed, but let me ask a stupid question.
      Does Hasbro own the Toy-Biz Sentinels molds after buying them out?
      And if they did, could we petition them to improve on that mold and re-release them as a army build again while keeping the ability to take them apart for battle damage and such?
